Let's look a little more closely at those 3 TD passes. One was 5 yards, one was 1 yard and one was completed 1 yard behind the line of scrimmage. Might explain why GS's completion % was higher than your other comparisons.

Not faulting GS. He runs the plays that are called. But I haven't seen this short leash on the UGA QB since SBIV's freshman season. CKS and CMB are not giving GS any chances to make game changing mistakes. And to GS's credit, when he is on, he has been Game Manager Supreme.

I am sure that the kid gloves will come off next season for GS. But this season he is being viewed as a game manager by most of CFB with a high completion % resulting from the many many shorter throws he has attempted. We may see a change there in the playoffs. That would be quite a curveball for CKS to throw in a national championship scenario.

BTW where would UGA be this season w/o Zac Branch? He has been the only consistent receiver (WR or TE) on the team. TG for ZB1.

I think Gunner might be a little dinged up too. After Texas I could see Gunner as a Heisman finalist. After Charlotte and Tech, he lost the spot.

Like you said though, I think he could make the finals in nyc for 2026 though.

Gunner get's better with every game. I love watching him play. I'm sure he'll get serious consideration for the Heisman next year. But, as stiffneck illustrated - his trophy this year won't even fit on the mantle.

next year could be his heisman year, hoping he leads a group of draft eligible underclassmen back for another go at it.
