Going to see more of this. Need transfer portal talent.

I don't think it's necessary or even interesting to get a minute by minute update on mid-level recruits (maybe even top ones), from any class - especially one that could see the field at UGA no earlier than 2028!

Tired of these guys getting so much ink. And current recruits de-commit right up until signing day, so not sure any of it is worth coverage anymore. I used to love following recruiting, fun & less stressful than games, but trying to ignore it now due to the late de-commits & transfer portal. You get invested in a player or two, then so many either de-commit or transfer, it stops being fun or interesting.

I'm not worried about this guy specifically, but hoping we can turn around all these recruiting misses - especially all the 5* from Georgia. That recent trend (top GA HS recruits leaving the state), reminds me of when Tennessee under Fulmer seemed to have free run of GA talent including Jamaal Lewis. I hope we're not on the verge of seeing some of these game changers from GA coming back to beat the Dawgs.

I’m tired of this crap. What’s wrong with these kids? A man is no better than his word. Move on son.

@David1 - Amen! Although I’m not sure anything can be done about the current mess college football is in. I’ve said it before, recruiting has been turned upside down by NIL. Just have recruits sign a contract with stiff penalties for breaching that contract by either side. Otherwise, schools have no idea who’s going to actually show up. Do away with signing day because even that’s meaningless with the current transfer rules, or the lack of any rules. Just have them or a legal guardian sign the contract. No more “committing.” Just hire ‘em. Once under contract, they’re less likely to breach if the penalties are significant enough. I’m thinking liquidated damages clauses and covenants not to compete clauses.

Yeah, I know the young folks will call this crazy. Well, it is crazy, but it’s less crazy than what is currently in place. In this environment where one’s word is absolutely meaningless for about a third of these kids, going the harsh legal route seems better imo.

All about $$. We don'don't have the war chest to compete with the big boys. Pittman mabe a better developer, but still not have NIL power.

Monken didn't like working for Smart before so he ain't coming back. But Pittman might which would be a big upgrade over the incumbent.
