You are exactly right. It is not about optimism or pessimism. It is about reality. "your record says you are what you are", said Bill Parcells. Some fans are just more analytical and recognize what they see.

"step back and look at them with a critical eye and speak up about ways I believe they can improve". Well said. It is not rocket science. We can all clearly see where improvement is needed. To simplify. The '24 team was done in by dropped passes. The '25 team was done in by an inability of the O to use the whole field consistently/effectively/successfully. UGA was completely predictable on offense and limited to the point that opponents could scheme to pressure and take away strengths. I'll never understand handing off to 180 lb RB Cash Jones on 4th and 1 vs AL from the 5 yard line or the play calling when UGA had 2nd and goal from the 3 vs MS in the playoffs.

Is 12-2 and an SEC championship (in a bad SEC year) an "excellent year" or a very good year? If you don't win a playoff game for the 3rd year in a row has it truly been an excellent year by CKS and UGA standards?

So it was a very good year for a very good program. Pretty easy to see where UGA didn't deliver this past season. If you are wearing rose covered glasses and counting on optimism to get your team over the top you will be disappointed in sports more often than not.

I don't expect UGA to win a championship every year. In this era (NIL, TP) there'll be no more Saban type dynasties. To win, it takes great talent, excellent coaching, playmakers, depth, execution, no significant injuries and LUCK (like the clock striking midnight on a very makeable OSU FG).

It is pretty easy to say that IF UGA doesn't make significant improvement to pass rush, to OL play and especially to QB play (the most critical player to team success on the field) UGA can expect similar results next year to what we saw this past season. Very good results for a very good team. But no championship.
