imageNate Frazier wants to be mentioned among great Georgia RBs, knowing he must keep improving

He ran for a team-high 947 yards while scoring six touchdowns. He showed real improvement in his second season with the program, especially after overcoming some fumbling issues that cost him playing time in Georgia’s lone regular-season loss against Alabama.

Frazier ranked #51 in Total Rushing yards and Bowens #183.

Both of Indiana's RBs - Hemby and Black - were ranked in the Top 50. So both of Indiana's RBs - individually - gained more total yards than Frazier. But, as a caveat, they played in a couple more games.

Frazier is a valuable asset and a great RB, but like has been said, he has got work to do to become elite.

I beg to differ… I think. Yes, he hasn't been elite (yet), but he is elite. By that I mean he hasn't produced elite numbers (because the complementary players and play-calling have tamped those down), but he's plenty capabable. Plus he's a heckuva recruiter by helping to land #1 Kemon Spell ('27) today. Go Dawgs!

The best backs at UGA had a very good OL to open holes. The run game improved in 2025 from the previous year, maybe more improvement can be made. The tight ends blocking their butts off would help a lot.

@khummel…think again sir. Frazier has the potential to be elite, but he is definitely not there yet. He is no Mark Fletcher, Ahmad Hardy, Isaac Brown, Jeremiyah Love, Kewan Lacy, or LJ Martin….to name just a few recent stars.

Frazier is not going to be listed in anyone's Top 10 RBs for 2026.

if ole miss didn’t hurt him, and yes, I claim it was deliberate, we win that game. I don’t know about the next one but definitely against the rebels. He was chewing them up before, I believe, the call went out.

That’s right, I said it. I said it as soon as it happened.

I’ll go along with you. I could see it being deliberate. Just like the OM guy Targeting Gunner by lowering his helmet and hitting Gunner right under the chin !! Tried to tear his head off !! Official right there and No Flag !!

Allot of holding on their O Line uncalled to. Some will probably say I’m just a sore loser. But those things count !! The defender that hit Gunner should have been tossed And UGA given 15 yds and a free first down !! But didn’t happen.

And all that uncalled holding helped Chambliss who didn’t Need help. So yeah I absolutely could see it being deliberate on Frazier.

I Hope Bobo will go back to better days at UGA. And start calling different types of sweeps. Dawgs made allot of good out of toss sweeps.

I Know running up the middle has a place in the strategy. I’m Not saying do away with that play. But Allot of bad things can happen and Do happen running the ball up the middle.

There’s Allot of humanity bunched together on up the middle plays. How many times have we seen RBs nearly running up the back of their own O Lineman ? Allot of times the big O Lineman will trip over his own RB and get injured. Or accidentally knock the ball out of his RBs hands, fumble by friendly fire !! I could go on and on. Again I’m Not saying do away with that play as there Is a purpose for it.

But Frazier in particular would fair better with plays where he can get his speed and momentum going right from the start. Gives him a better view of defenders in front of him as well. Dwight “Peanut” Phillips most assuredly should be used in toss sweeps.

For me Bowens would be my up the middle guy. He has the brute strength and power for that type of play. I think Bowens is a little stronger than Frazier but Frazier is a little faster than Bowens. Used properly ( see James Cook) yeah Frazier could be elite in my opinion. Dawgs RB room has Allot of potential. Looking forward to how it turns out on the field.

"……But, as a caveat, they played in a couple more games."

@MontanaDawg they, Roman Hemby and Kaelon Black, were also both RS Seniors in the 2025 season, which made them much older, and more experienced than Frazier (true Sophomore). I agree, he does have work to do to become elite, but he has two more seasons to do it if he chooses. If he plays two more seasons at UGA, then he will have every reason to believe that he can accomplish his goal.

Everyone has potential and some get the most out of their assets. Hoping he does but it would help him get their with some better play calling (less predictable) and blocking. when you have a ton of mass on both sides of the line of scrimmage you have to have adequate holes to squeeze through.

Think again sir. Put Frazier in another top program (with the right system and roster make-up), and I believe he'd post elite numbers. Put those stars from other programs last year on our team (system/make-up), and they'd post decent but not elite numbers. Go Dawgs!

so what is Mike going to do without Cash to throw a screen pass behind the line on 3rd and long?? Just kidding. I liked Cash, maybe not for 3rd down conversion but he was a gutsy player. Go dawgs..
