A day old, have already read it - probably like most. May be easier for you just to put an ESPN link by your name and hit the snooze, be fully automated.

    "dah, dah, dah…dah, dah, dah".

I hope he does turn out to be the next Bowers or Pickens. However, those are very big shoes to fill. I hope the media doesn’t hype this young man to the point he feels so much pressure to produce that he forgets that to be your best, just go out and have fun and let the game come to you. Go Dawgs!

He'll have to fill out a bit to be another Bowers. He really does look like a hybrid, long, lean and yet fairly well built. A year in the weight room, and who knows. I think he's more on the receiver side right now.

Just looking at Prothro, he looks to be built more like Pickens than Bowers, Bowers had a longer body, with shorter legs like a running back, Pickens had a shorter body with longer legs, just get out there and produce and he will make a name for himself, just like Chubb, when everyone compared him to Herschel, but he made a name for himself, can't wait to see him play, and all the other players coming in, this is a team sport, so, he doesn't need to feel pressure to be either one.

First, you've got to convince Bobo to use those massive, easy targets in Williams and Prothro much more than just blockers in the offensive game i don't understand Bobo's thinking when we move the offense better if guys like that are involved. Defenses knew Bowers wzs going to be targeted but still rarely stopped him. At 6'6" and 6'7", how hard is it to get these giants the ball?

He doesn't have to be anyone but himself! He's a very talented kid. He couldn't be anything other than a WR at theis point or a TE that just catches passes. I would imagine that he will put on 20-25 pounds of weight and in a couple of years be a TE. But stranger thaings have happened. I think Tampa Bay has an All-Pro WR that is massive.

I remember when Lawson Luckie was the new Brock Bowers, we now realize in hindsight what a unicorn he was.

@MontanaDawg Amen brother! We don't need anymore blockers, we need blast plays and scores.

Slow down Conner, let's at least wait till the guy starts shaving before we induct him into the HOF.

Would like to see him used primarily as a WR. Has elite speed for his size. He would create a cover mismatch for many DBs.

"But there’s an opportunity for Prothro that didn’t fully exist for last year’s freshmen. Factoring in the tight ends and wide receivers, Elyiss Williams caught the most passes at just seven."

That doesn't necessarily mean that he will get more targets. Prothro and Williams could be a deadly combination that keeps DCs up at night, but you have to be willing to throw to them.

Under the direct tutelage of the great Mike Bobo, he’ll be blocking for those dynamic Wide Receiver Screens in no time.

This young man played at the A level. Yes, it was in GA, but still. I realize content is at a premium at this point on the calendar, but please stop setting these guys up to fail.

The great “IF”. IF Prothro fully buys into the program Totally. IF he’s pushed hard in strength & conditioning. IF he is coached right and works the very best he can in practices. And the really big IF he is targeted enough in games. Using all these IF’s and the check sheet is fulfilled. I predict he Will be a super star by his second year. I hate adding this last one and IF he doesn’t get seriously injured. The same for Williams only he could be a super star This year !! As @ GoodOlDawg said and I agree, Prothro and Williams could give rival DCs severe nightmares !!
