In an attempt to address the concern this offseason, Georgia brought in Auburn transfer Amaris Williams, thinking another talented player could help solve some of the issues.

    Kirby had said he wanted the defense to make the QBs work for every yard. I think the Defense did a pretty good job of that all in all. We’ll see…….

    Kirby's defense at Georgia was never a great sack team, even with the most glorious 2021 and 2022 teams.

    I agree that even the '21and '22 defenses didn't put up huge sack numbers, but they had the ability to pressure the QB with four throughout the game and get to him late in games. The past two years the defensive front has struggled at getting pressure and the sacks have come from blitzing LBs. The worst pressure for a QB is pressure up the middle in his face.

    Oh to clarify my original comment I was referring to G Day. Hoping the defense has indeed turned a corner.
