Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Georgia football program challenged by ESPN’s Heather Dinich entering 2026 season
Georgia football program challenged by ESPN’s Heather Dinich entering 2026 season
Heather Dinich is one of the loudest voices in college football, especially when it comes to the College Football Playoff.
Comments
Kirby’s squad challenged by Heather Dinich, oh wow. Just riveting edge of your seat news for sure. Rod Smith award contender here.
Thanks Captain Obvious!!! What team could you not say that for? When does practice start?
today
The key for UGA, with the level of talent they have, really comes down to one thing, staying healthy.
We have the talent in our program to take it all the way as long as injuries don't take use out of it.
And, yes, I'm aware that I, too, am Captain Obvious.
I really don’t care what Heather thinks, says, or does.
“If Georgia is going to finish strong, it’s going to have to do it mostly away from Athens,” Dinich said.”
Not only are these road games going to have to be played away from Athens as the insightful Dinich pointed out, if UGA expects to come home a winner, they’re going to have to out-score their opponents in each of these games! That may be a key factor that Dinich (and Conner) planned to reveal in the next article, but I gave it to you first!
Your welcome!
Don't know, what we'd do without Dinich. Lol...I like her, but, dang!, the CFP is more forgiving than that. Just look at how Miami eked in last season. After a steady stream of ESPN Hype, pushing to make it happen, of course.
Maybe that's what she's sayin'...without sayin' it......if the Dawgs are on the bubble....don't count on hype support from ESPN. They cleaned that house when they fired Pollack and hired Saban. They DO have their favorites don't they.
ESPN has become comfortable with being more, part of "the story".... than reporting the story. It's one thing, not to hype a deserving team....but, to use a team like Kirby's as a punching bag every preseason, is getting old. Just once I want to hear some of that " rat poison" they heaped on Bama, Oklahoma, Michigan, Clemson and OSU....every dadgum season…imo.
Wouldn't be so bad, if they groveled toward Dawg Fans a little bit....after each season they were "completely out to lunch" (every season). Lol...but, that would require humility & self awareness.... Honesty. Lol
Go Dawgs...don't worry bout Heather. Lol...she's gotta have something to talk about. Why is it always negative, though? ESPN.
Heather actually did do some digging and found a negative story line as you mentioned. Crazy isn't it? Anyways, she is going to be very remiss as we take the college football world by storm again this year. This is the best team since 22 and we should win it barring some massive catastrophe. We are fully loaded.
The pundits are all picking Texas, Oregon ND and OSU and some Indiana. None of them are really picking us.
This team looks like an absolute juggernaut on the lines of scrimmage and that is how you win championships.
Who is Heather Dontknowsh...?
Connor keeping ESPN relevant....sigh....afain
she’s a college football writer and talking head for ESPN
This will be a revenge year for Kirby and the Dawgs in both Bryant-Denny and in Oxford. Coach Smart knows that he has not won there, and will put emphasis on these games. I ain't getting that far ahead because the Sooners in Athens is going to be a fight. I can not wait for the season!
It has become apparent that no head coach navigates a regular season better than CKS. I'm learning to relax a little as a fan when seeing some of these daunting games because of that.
I fully agree with you !! This team has the talent with a good combination of veteran players and highly skilled younger players. That terrible word injuries would be the thing to derail our Dawgs. Especially to critical to the team players at the most needed times.
But can’t worry over them. Coaches just need to build and push the reserve players to be at their best. And ever remind them that they are one play (injury) away from being The Man at their position. Go Dawgs !!
