IMO...That's not the whole problem. It's a complete Offense problem....when you don't have "time".…to allow the routes to develop, before you have to go into damage control mode. That will never allow for any kind of rhythm.
Fixing the pass blocking....fixes the downfield passing issue. Which it sounds like they've focused on, since last year. Also, they need to work on making those contested catches.
I believe it will all come together for these salty Dawgs....in 2026 & 27. But, I don't want to get ahead of em. 2026 will be enough for now. Lol

A healthy OL all season will take care of everything. Something we have not had for the last 2 seasons.
Gunner only in season 2. Going to be a lot of crow eaten about Gunner. And Bobo. And by some on here sadly. Especially if a couple of WR's step up big time to go along with the TE's….!
Mateer at 7? Come on. When healthy, he might be the best of them all.
Manning at 1? Everyone is still ranking, just like before he ever played a snap in college ball, on his perceived potential, not how he has actually performed and that is with his head coach being the QB specialist guy! And when he gets some heat on him? Very bad. I would put him in the middle of the pack, at best, and maybe lower based on play on the field.
I respectfully disagree...…Bennett will be/is an outstanding NFL QB. No doubt. He would not still be in LA, playing for McVay if he wasn't. We just haven't seen him do it during the Season. Yet.
I remember....when Brett Farve played 3rd or 4th string (tic) for the Falcons , when he first entered the league. He wasn't even an honorable mention…...until he caught on with "a good football team" (Packers).
I just think, Bennett & McVay are biding their time, while Mathew Stafford puts on a clinic. No big hurry....they're Winners. When Stafford's done....Bennett will slide right in. The Rams have more invested in Bennett, at this point...than Simpson. Not to mention, Simpson's lack of experience as a starting quarterback.
IMO.....Both, Bennett...And, Simpson...landed in the perfect spot, for a developing quarterback. Barring injury....Bennett will be around for a long time. Simpson, I'm not sure about, yet. Bennett wouldn't be **** up LA air, money and roster space...if he wasn't worth his weight in gold. Lol

@BigDawg61…hey, I'd love to eat my words and see Stetson really shine. But, I just believe at 5'11" and 185lbs, the guy is never going to be a typical pro drop back passer (not tall enough, plenty of balls will get batted down) nor is he big enough to be a real threat running the ball. The guy will get hammered. Completely different and nastier situation than what he was up against in college. His body would never take that kind of punishment.
So I see him kind of stuck in the middle, almost in no-man's land, when it comes to being a really top starting QB in the NFL. Sure, he can be a great and reliable backup, but I just don't see him getting anywhere near a Top 10 or 15 QB in the NFL.
Am I the only one that noticed the Bama grad has an unnamed Bama qb at #4?
