It's a week before football season and this board seems strangely quiet. Is it the new board format? Everybody disgusted enough with where CFB is headed that we're checking out? Drinking & carousing? Other?
I am so eager for the start of the season, and the game day threads, even with the many expected "negative nellie" posts.
The new format makes coming here frustrating. I can't easily figure out any aspects of what used to be easy even after devoting too much time and effort to the project. I'm not having fun when I come here, and I used to. Perhaps I'm atypical, but I doubt it.
We'll see how it goes when the first live game day thread comes around. I think it will be a Charlie Foxtrot. A board like this should be user friendly, easily navigable, and reasonably intuitive. It should be transparent so the conversation isn't about the platform. Go, Dawgs!
I'm with you JW!
it’s the new board
I'm going to try my best to figure this out. But I bet during the first game…..chaos rules. I'll be in Nashville with limited time to check in, but not going anywhere.
Best way I have found and its far from perfect is to NOT USE THE REPLY button.
Use the " (quote) icon under the person you want to reply to.
Under Discussions set on recently commented. Best I can do. Site is buggy not impressed better software out there……
Good Luck……..
The Reply button works fine for me. I use a laptop which may or may not have something to do with it?
The reply button puts the post under that certain post. The quote icon keeps the flow stable and posts stay in order, not under a post 2 pages back or a post made in middle of page…….
Got it. Thanks
Could you spell out what you mean by this?
"Under Discussions set on recently commented."
All the help we can get or give each other, the better this will work. Probably everybody else understands what you're suggesting, but I don't.
I hope everyone gets ⬆︎ this ⬆︎ and uses the quote icon instead of the reply button.
I hope everyone either figures this out or asks about it and has it explained to them - prior to the Game Day Live Thread - otherwise it's going to be a Charlie Foxtrot and perhaps the rumination of our conversation.
If we can figure out how to make this format work reasonably well, I hope for a thread of more or less mandatory tips which everyone can be pointed to so that the conversations have some semblance of flow. Perhaps there are other hacks and/or workarounds we'll figure out.
Go, Dawgs!

I'm replying to myself to see if I can use both the Reply button and the quote icon. There might be a place for using both.
Apparently both can't be used. Or, if they can, I failed to do it properly. I did the Reply button, which worked. Then, I tried to use the quote icon, but that did not work.
This time I tried using the quote icon first. Then I tried to use the Reply button. I got this…
Does that fully answer the question? I don't think so. My guess is I could use the quote icon first, and post my comment, and then use the Reply button.
Let me find out.
Yes. That can be done.
One can first use the quote icon to reply, thus putting the reply in the conversation, as a new comment. It has to be posted. After it is posted, one can then use the Reply button, to reply to a comment, directly below that comment, thus enabling a reply which the comment poster is very likely to see. Anyway… Go, Dawgs!
I'm so confused 🤔
you ain't alone, bro!!
This becomes easier to find using the " (looks like eyes)
This is using reply
especially if you are replying to a post 2-3 pages ago!
