The second and third teams on Defense were not too good and have a lot of growing up to do, fast. Roldan needs to catch the ball before running and fumbling the ball. The First team offense looks very good despite a weak opponent. Oklahoma and Alabama will be tougher. Let's get better quick. Go Dawgs!
Just looking at first team and some other outstanding play, I'll award UGA an…A! Come on…70 pts!!!!
I agree with the consensus of most on this thread and others. That being that the starters on Both sides are performing very well albeit vs. inferior opponents.
So all the Dawgs can do is keep practicing hard. Keep Choppin ! KS and the coaching staff can pick out the very best of the second and third string players and mix them in to the starters IF needed.
I promise I’m Not trying to pick on Pugs and Montgomery. But if Gunner were to get seriously injured it looks like a big drop off. But it needs to be understood that all the backup QBs are Not operating with the #1 Offense. Perhaps they could do considerably better if that were the case.
Dawgs have Huge potential but they need to just keep practicing hard and Playing hard in every snap they get !
Adversity is gonna be what tells us where this Dawgs team is at. They haven’t had that This year so far. Go Dawgs !!
First teamers: A+
Completely off topic on a couple of things. The tenn vs tech game had the ugliest colors in all of sports. Does auburn try to copy everything that Georgia does? The play Georgia’s fight song, have hedges and they had a white out last night, but their team didn’t wear white jerseys. Along with the fact they have three mascots. Pathetic program.
Am I reading this right about Stockton? Would that mean at least 14 TDs???
"He took a few more hits than he did a week ago but he was 13 of 16. For the second straight week, he had more touchdown passes than completions."
Caught that too lol that'd be quite a feat, 14 TD passes in a single game 😂
When we go to Carolina I hope the D can contain Sellers. The dawgs look capable of a run if the injury bug doesn’t hit
We allowed them to convert too many third and longs.
Kirby saw a lot which needs improvement. Most of us did, too.
That said, this looks like it might be a very good Georgia team assuming significant improvement in the obvious places.
Go, Dawgs!
likely Bobo’s fault
I had to double-take on that, too. Pretty sure he meant more TDs than INcompletions.
1st, 2nd, & 3rd team defense looks great. It's the 4th team of #41 & #55 at the interior d-line spots that gave up the last 2 TDs to Western Kentucky. 1st 2nd & 3rd team are rotating considerably through the first three quarters.
Not just the jersey number, also the lower-body weight and sideline speed, memories of Garrison Hearst immediately flooded my mind when Bowens hurdled into the EZ. Dude’s a beast!
After today, Monken may be looking.
if none of our starters get hurt, UGA will be great. Stockton has played well, but he needs to ANTICIPATE his receivers getting open and throw the ball just a tad sooner to avoid taking unnecessary hits. Speaking of Georgia QBs, I must admit I’m surprised that Puglisi and Montgomery aren’t better than they are. As someone else said, maybe they would play better if they were working with the first team. But I really don’t think so. Unfortunately, they’re just ho-hum quarterbacks. Really wish Curtis had signed with us. He won’t do much at Vandy, but he would have become a legend at Georgia — and he could have helped us this year.
