Big Ten Championship..

Not impressed. Ohio State has great talent, but doesn't look like a great team. Definitely not a Top 4 team.

Wisconsin is exactly what I thought they were. They are this year's version of Iowa, Michigan State from previous years --high ranking based on weak schedule, Big Ten hype, and likability (tough, hard-nosed, disciplined). Solid but hardly deserving of such a high ranking. All those Ohio State big plays were basically superior athletes outrunning lesser talent.

Great post. On another note... the other pitfall about letting Ohio State in is how exactly does one determine that they're better than USC? USC lost 2 games as well. Why are the Suckeyes the default bubble team & not the Trojans? The Big 12 commissioner wrote the politburo last year when Penn State was bypassed and asked what the standard for the committee is. I think just about every conference chairman will do the same if Meyer's team gets in this year.

Exactly right. If OSU gets in, maybe just change the standard to the three best teams and Ohio State.

If you're only picking conference champions these days (ignoring last year's precedent), USC has a better argument, resume-wise, than Ohio State without question. The college football talking heads (half of whom seem to have attended Ohio State) and ESPN FPI continue to put forth the worthiness of OSU despite actual week-to-week performances. It's as if nothing on the field can ultimately shake the preseason assumption that Ohio State was great and would be in the playoffs.

I think it's gonna be Bama because of the precedent they set last year. If they put O$U in people are going to go nuts and they could have an NFL like ratings situation.

We all know that OSU is not on the same level as Bumer. They lost too many top players to the draft and graduation. Iowa is 7-5 and un-ranked. Beat OSU by 31!! 31!!!

Let's put the guys across the line in so that we can earn The Natty! Better historical story line, IMHO

I'm just glad the DAWGS are not "backing in"

It's been great playing with House Money! Might as well go all in now!

My vote would be USC and would eliminate Bama due to their November performances and lack of any good wins (a HS team could LOSE to Auburn and doesn't make them a good team) and the fact that they struggled against MSST, LSU and even A&M. In essence, they beat bad teams thoroughly, barely handled average/above average teams and lost to the only good team that they played.
