  • The Falcons have had one Georgia RB play in a game (Verron Haynes - 2009). He never ran the ball.
  • The Falcons have had one Georgia WR play in a game (Terrance Edwards-2003). He caught one pass for 10 yards.
  • The Falcons have never drafted a Georgia offensive or defensive lineman.
  • The Falcons have never drafted a Georgia wide receiver.
  • A Georgia tailback has never played in an Atlanta Falcons game.
  • On Sept. 23, 2007, TE Martrez Milner caught a 7 yard pass vs. Carolina, thus making him the first and only Georgia offensive player drafted by the Falcons to actually touch a ball in a game.

Here's another fact. Since 1966, the Falcons have appeared in the Super Bowl only 2 times, with no wins. Coincidence?

Stranger than fiction some weird bulldogs falcons facts.

Both teams have had very similar seasons since 2011.

Our 2012 seasons ended with heartbreakers in our conference championship games in the same building on the same side of the field. 5 yards away from beating Alabama. 10 yards away from beating the 49ers.

Both teams were decimated with season ending injuries throughout 2013.

Mike Smith and Mark Richt had to be fired throughout 2014 and 2015 because we were tired of not winning the "big one".

Dan Quinn and Kirby Smart were former defensive coordinators from championship teams who replaced Mike Smith and Mark Richt.

Dan Quinn had 8 wins in year 1. Kirby Smart had 8 wins in year 1.

Dan Quinn had 11 wins in the regular season in year 2, 13 wins overall and led his team to the Super Bowl before blowing it against the Patriots, the dynasty team of this era of the NFL, giving Bill Belichick his 5th championship with the franchise.

Kirby Smart had 11 wins in the regular season year 2, 13 wins overall and led his team to the CFP national championship before blowing it against Alabama, the dynasty team of this era in college football, giving Nick Saban his 5th championship with the program.

Dan Quinn had 10 wins in the regular season in year 3, 11 wins overall with a win in the wildcard but a loss in the divisional round to the Eagles.

The 2018 bulldogs finishing 10-2 in the regular season and 11-3 overall with a conference championship loss to Alabama is confirmed in year 3 with Kirby. Same exact record and finish as 2003 Georgia in year 3 with Mark Richt as well.

You already know something special is coming for both the Dawgs and Falcons at the same time, and it'll be the next couple years mark my word.
