Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

IMO Arik Gilbert is the best coming out of HS here. That said, if there will be a commitment to use TEs more by staff, not just in formation but usage, I’d stick with DW and TJ. My only concern is that if they come here, and production doesn’t improve, how much will distance factors weigh into a decision to leave? If transfers were off the table give me the latter two.
I like the idea of DW in the Red Zone bc he is 13 feet tall, but I'm just not convinced we would be able to figure out how to use him based off past failures. Theo too, whose athleticism I like and think he could be a solid player.
I'm still looking forward to Seither getting bigger and more experienced.
Yea I can't believe these kids think just because they are freak athletes, that we are gonna do anything different, than have them line up and block 75% of the time.
1 or both will probably transfer out IMO
You always paint such a lovely picture of our future.
Yeah he’s turned into our resident doomsday prepper fairly quickly.
just look at how much the talent level has improved, but we are still running the same offense and having the same issues.
it doesn't matter how talented of WRs/TEs or QBs we recruit.
Its gonna be the same offense with the same consistent issues until Kirby lets it be different.
Ringo is looking for a video editor... another top 5???
I'll do it if it's a commitment video, but I get the say on final cut. 😉
Dude. You have really taken a turn.
You have always had some head scratching theories - seems like you are trying to learn football on the go - but are reading the wrong people on the internet. But you had some good posts.
Now, it's the same crazy theories - but with a very negative tone. I know you are a huge Dawg fan because you are an alum and live in Athens. But it's like you are trying to prepare yourself for a huge let down by being so negative.
Come on dude. Enjoy your Dawgs a little.
I want to be able to enjoy them.
We have a Championship Defense
and a National Championship caliber roster.
our offensive philosophy has to change at some point.
otherwise we are going to continue to recruit the best talent and waste it
Kind of like the Don Chaney situation... Dad wants UGA but Don wants Miami. We’ll see.
We'll see. Not so sure philosophy is wrong. But execution seems to be an issue. And it's certainly possible to be more open and creative in a pro style offense.
See how things develop. You might be surprised how our offense evolves the rest of the season. If not, Kirby will adjust.
You've offered good stuff in the past. Most of your stuff lately has been a little out there and seems to be posted out of frustration .
It's just football.
Lets beat FU so @dgd829 can get back to his ole self.
This one feels different because of the position. Chaney would absolutely be used, frequently after year 1. Not sure they’ll be a ton of reps year 1 as I think Zeus and Milton will carry the load with Kmac and Cook getting carries as well.
We know the plan is to revamp the offense around TE usage and we’ve seen different formations this year with the flex TE but, no one can say with confidence that usage would be “X” at TE.
I am usually wrong on predictions, but have a good feeling about AG to the Dawgs.
Yeah, what he said, and some continually like to advertise that we do not throw to tight ends. But also known is how Jake likes to throw toward the sideline. And how many more years are we blessed with the Great Jake?
