Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:

- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)

- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans

- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum

- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Where do you like to watch the big game?

As I'm sure we all know, there is something special about tailgating on a Fall Saturday on the UGA Campus and then going into the game and watching from inside Sanford. Please don't take this question as me saying I don't love all that.

But isn't it also just as nice in its own way to watch in the comfort of your own home or a friend's living room on the big screen. No $100 + ticket cost, unlimited food and beer, etc. Plus you get to watch other games throughout the day and night.

So there are pros and cons to both. What one do you like better and why?

I’ve reached the age where going to a game sadly isn’t as much fun as it used to be. I still go when I get a chance but unless I’m ever rich enough to get the deluxe treatment I’m probably not going to start from scratch on getting season tickets anymore. Maybe if I have a kid I’ll change my mind.

I stopped drinking early this year and I hate to say it but it would be tough for me to tailgate sober and I can’t handle gameday traffic anymore. I’m cool at home being able to eat what I want, flip to other games during commercials and halftime, have a clean bathroom on demand, and probably most importantly yelling and throwing things if needed.

I'm in on the yelling and throwing things. Gotta participate in the game somehow

It's a big commitment and hassle to go to Athens now. I still go to Jax most years since we combine the game with a week at the beach above Daytona.

I use to enjoy going to the local sports bar that the alumni association had contracted to show the games...that was fun until last year.....the sports bar was so small it was standing room only....I'll watch in person or at home

Hot wings don't like me much. I might as well inject the sauce directly up me bum hole with a turkey baster.

Maybe you should patent that for colonoscopy prep. LOL

I'm old enough to rate watching at home as my preference, but I'm young enough to enjoy going to Athens from time to time, frankly for the coeds as much as the football. As an Ole Miss alumnus said to me recently, "We may have bragging rights on a per capita basis, but for sheer volume of beautiful women, Athens is #1."

My wife's family and I catch a game in Athens about every other year and there's nothing like it but being that we live down in Douglas, GA it would be a tall order to invest in multiple trips a year. Most Saturdays I make a day of watching all the key match-ups with a pot of chili simmering in the kitchen and some wings/burgers on the grill. Yessir!
