- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed.     Did you go to the article about the University rankings? Could just be a targeted ad that thinks you're interested in attending a top public university.

    That’s so crazy that program rewards people who don’t save their money. I get the idea was to help poor families send their kids to college, which is admirable. But the way that program is set up, if you’ve scrimped and saved and now have a little money saved for retirement...

    One of first most basic things you’re taught about managing your money is to save just like 10% of your money. And if you start young enough, even if you only make like $40K/year your whole life, you will have enough money for a basic retirement lifestyle.

    But that $50K asset level makes a mockery of what people who are trying to be financially responsible are taught.
