Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Relax! The greatest pass rush in history would not have sacked MTSU's QB. Here's why....

Went back and re-watched game. MTSU completed 20 passes. Only 9 were completed beyond the line of scrimmage. Their longest completed pass was caught 5 yds. downfield. The average distance downfield for each completed pass in the game was slightly less than 2 inches. Only 1 completion was in the QB's more than 2 seconds and he rolled out to his left before throwing it. We were not gonna get a sack in this game and neither would Bama, the Fearsome Foursome, or anybody else. What's kinda ironic is that Austin Peay and USCjr both used a real similar passing strategy against us. In other words, at this point, don't worry about the lack of sacks

Here come the "yeah, but..." clowns to provide a rebuttal. Don't you know we **** on the DL?
I appreciate you taking the time to do this. You make a lot of sense. I want to notice and reward this kind of post so we don’t devolve into chicken little complaining about everything.
You didn’t come in here like a know it all, you rewatched the game and took notes. Good job by you and thank you for setting my mind, which was already at ease, more at ease
