I love a good Sweetwater 420.... lol, no Not Brenton Cox's room number, the beer. And of course the Braves Chopsecutioner is a banger. I have a few others that I'll drink occasionally. Any suggestions of what I may find in one of the liquor stores down here?

I don't love IPA, but I know a a few! 😀
If you want to try some other Georgia brews, there's Creature Comforts (Tropicalia), Jekyll (Hop Dang Diggity), Red Brick (Hopway), Red Hare (Gangway), Scofflaw (Basement), Terrapin (Hopsecutioner), Wild Heaven (Wise Blood), and Three Taverns (Night on Ponce, Rowdy & Proud, Night in Brussels, 3Day), among others.
A few good ones with national reach include Lagunitas, New Belgium (Ranger), Rebel, and Sierra Nevada (Torpedo).
Jai Alai is out of Tampa so you might have access to that as well.
Lots of local Micro Brewers down here. Biloxi Brewing, (Biloxi Blonde), Chandeluer Island Brewing, (Freemason Golden Ale), Lazy Magnolia Brewery (Southern Gold, Indian Summer) just to name a few and not to mention Abita and Storyville over in New Orleans......so much beer and so little time.......
Tropicalia is the best beer in the state.
The original Hopsecutioner is awesome if you love some hoppy bitterness.
Scofflaw puts out some really good IPAs as well.
I love all things Abita!
Southern Prohibition Brewery in Hattiesburg has Mississippi Fire Ant an Imperial Red Ale. Quite good and hard to find and a very different brew than most.....
There's a new brewery here in town called Georgia Beer. They've got some really good stuff. They're kind of new so they don't always have beer canned or bottled but they've got some great stuff to try. I love the Southern Isles IPA and the Destress Express (coffee milk stout) is off the Chain. Stop by whenever y'all are passing thru on 75 next time.
Lagunitas IPA is really good
Haven't tried it yet. I'm not great at branching out.
420's an IPA or APA?
@Steve_Zissou
Not sure. It's good, I know that.
Dogfish Head has a very good 60 min IPA. Based on wholesalers, should be available in Savannah area. But also in surrounding states - Fla, SC, Tn etc.
The restaurants in Del are very good, too.
Sweet Water is ok BUUUUUT Terrapin Beer! Man I wish I could get Hopsecutioner in Germany.
never had an IPA I could handle more than one taste of
I wish I was into them, there are more IPAs than dang near anything else out there.
Yeah, I like one or two IPAs at most in one sitting. Other than that they get too fruity in a lot of cases. If anyone knows of good IPAs that are not overly fruity, I'd love to hear it.
that grassy/hop taste I can't handle
I don't drink much beer but when I do it is usually imperial stouts, often barrel aged.
