Dawgnation Forums: Thumbs up!!

I was going to write a long post(surprise eh lol) about how we should all get along and stuff but I'll just say:

Dawgnation forums are pretty **** cool. Try finding what we have here elsewhere without paying for that privilege.

Hell, how fun is it to be on the 247 forums and not be able to see most of the posts w/o paying? Civil discussion on Facebook or Twitter? Not in my experience. Comment sections on stories on sites? Yikes!

The moderation on here is enough that it doesn't really restrict anyone but it isn't the Wild West. It's humans. As someone who's had posts deleted arbitrarily on other sites: it sucks.

But the most important thing is the members. Listen to the mouthbreathers that call into the Biggest College Football Show around! Try to debate with people on social media or comment sections. Go on forums where you might post and not see another one for hours.

You're NOT going to find the level of knowledge or even willingness to debate many places IMO. I MAYBE consider myself a moderately knowledgeable football/Dawg fan compared to many on here but outside of the bubble we're in, I'm hard pressed to find more than a surface level discussion about the Dawgs in daily life.

It sure as hell isn't perfect and I'm as guilty as anyone, but let's at least try to appreciate this place before the DN folks just wash their hands. Though @DawgNationDaily might have to work a little harder on show topics w/o us lol 😋

This place is awesome!!! From reading what you can on 247 there are a select few posters that are mean just to be mean and that's not in my dna. I also find out more information from Dawgnation long before it's posted as an article on 247.

Most definitely. This place is basically my Dawg/college football news aggregator. I don't really do Twitter but I know if I need to know about it I'll see it on here pretty quickly. I check this place first thing in the morning.

And because of this place I know more about the Dawgs than most fans so where else am I going to talk about it? I guess it doesn't hurt that y'all tolerate me for the most part 😎

Well said, @scooterdawg. For what it’s worth, I don’t think the disagreements on here are all that bad. Yeah, some members get into it sometimes, but I feel a significant majority of the discourse on this board is civil, and focused on things we have in common, the Dawgs, grilling, music, etc.

This is the only UGA board I participate in, and really the only place I get recruiting news, other than @JeffSentell’s excellent appearances on DND. I love the game day threads, because you all are just as nuts I am on game days. Go Dawgs!

Strongly agree. As we see from time to time, it's easy to get pulled into hyperbolic arguments as you would expect in any group of passionate sports fans. On the whole, however, there's a much greater focus on reasoned discussion and gentlemanly disagreement.
