I say give him the waiver to play this year. I’d rather face a kid in his first year in the program now than a 5th year senior a few years from now.

Maybe my UF hate is clouding my judgement, but I just dont see how he helps them. He has a bad attitude, feels entitled, and cant stay of the weed. Did someone see a flash of greatness in him last year, that I missed. I wish him good riddance. UF is not exactly the place to restore a bad attitude.

Was florida even on his radar during his initial recruitment? I feel like he chose them purely out of spite.

I’m wondering how much he really looked around before committing to UF. It didn’t work out in Athens, fine. But it seems like his decision was rushed, and now he’s stuck in Gainesville. I hope it works out for him...?

Wish him well. Florida has a deserved bad rep for working with kids with behavior issue. Basically Brain will have to fix himself or it will not work

Brian biggest challange not unlike many of us is between his ears. I'll wish him well, just not against us.

Not getting a waiver. Kicked for disciplinary issues and is leaving his home state to transfer with no other excuse.

Yes, this may just bump them up from the Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl to the big time Dollar General Bowl or Famous Idaho Potatoes Bowl...

I keep up with all new players, my son doesn’t. When Cox was in the game, I’d tell my son “watch this guy, rush specialist, gonna pressure or get to the QB.” Cox would apparently aimlessly rush upfield, no pressure, no sacks. As I tend to do, I’d say “get him out of there, he brings nothing.” Watched him in run support and saw average.

Not sweating losing him when we seem to clearly have 2-3 better options and his history of lack of discipline with teammates and such. And I don’t wish him well because the move to Florida seems “revengeful” to me.

I thought Cox was awfully slow compared to his competitors at UGA, but a tough kid and a fighter. I think Grantham will put 20-30 pounds of muscle on him over the next twelve months in the gym and make him a DE. At any rate, he is right where he needs to be--fighting with Georgia players and coaches will make him a hero. Of course, they have their share of dope issues, so he should get a lot of support.

I too was never really impressed with him last year as he appeared to be pretty lazy, but he has the potential to be a big pickup for them. Being dismissed from UGA probably gives him a chip on his shoulder that could very well prove to be the motivation he needs to reach his full potential.

If everything that has been said about his attitude problems is true, I'm glad he's no longer a part of the team. However, I hate to see him land at UF. If he is able to get his attitude right, he could very well turn out to be a great player for them...with a little extra motivation to "prove them wrong". Especially in the WLOCP.

With that being said, if he was really as disliked by the UGA players as has been suggested, I'm sure our big and nasty offensive lineman will have a little extra motivation also when he lines up against them :). Should be fun to watch.

I just noticed this from back in May. Did he really not crack the three deep team?

Why do you think he up and left. He had attitude issues and was PASSED on second team.
