Georgia football held its place in the AP Top 25 in the wake of a 63-17 victory over Murray State. We need to improve every day. Kirby knows it and preaches it. We're not sure of much yet, but there is plenty of stout and strong competition.

That was a big LSU win and an impressive Texas loss. We'll get the chance to shine or sink in less than two weeks.

    Go, Dawgs!

The LSU win was impressive to me...at Texas...IMHO it was the passing game won the game for them.

I hoped that the Dawgs were watching that game.

I hope they study how Clemson beat Texas A&M...other than Auburn that's the game that I'm concerned about. Auburn is a growing concern, especially at Auburn.

When you look at current polls you have to look at CURRENT conditions. You should not be looking at past success or failure. Right now, the Dawgs DO NOT deserve a #3 ranking. LSU definitely deserves to be ranked higher than the Dawgs. I would probably even put Oklahoma ahead of the Dawgs and Texas a higher ranking than the AP polls have given them.

Based on our performance so far this year, NOTHING tells me right now we can beat Ohio State, LSU, or Oklahoma. Texas played a great game against LSU that could have gone either way until the end. LSU was the better team in the end.

Number three ranking is rat poison for the Dawgs at this point. The talent is definitely there, but we still need to prove we can put it all together against a quality opponent.

I was also impressed with LSU in their victory last night. They showed an innovative offense and excellent quarterback play which are elements that team has been missing for years. Dawgs are going to need to step it up on defense to beat these spread offense teams like Clemson, Oklahoma, and now LSU. Good news is the schedule sets up nicely for the Dawgs to continue improving throughout the year.
