Pure rat poison. No game in the SEC should ever be looked at as less than a challenge to overcome. Georgia is playing with a target on their backs now and the entire team has to step up every single game. South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky and Missouri will be extra focused the week of this game to take Georgia down. Go Dawgs!

Yeah, so far this means nothing. So some SEC teams have lost some NON SEC games... how does that help us? It will give them some "fire" to try and take us and other East opponents down. After this cupcake and ND we have SEVEN STRAIGHT SEC games. We will have no room for error. Lets claim the East and THEN we can talk about how "weak" the East is.

How important is the UGA game to our rivals? TN, SC, Mizzou, UF, and Auburn all scheduled off weeks the week prior to playing the Dawgs. Off weeks before a big game are a distinct advantage. Since UGA is off before the TN and UF games, that should be a wash. But, SC, Mizzou, and especially Auburn sought to have every advantage possible when they requested their off weeks with the SEC. When six (Vandy being week one) of eight conference opponents have off weeks prior to playing the Dawgs, the schedule is a challenge regardless of appearances otherwise.

And we have Texas A&M the week after Auburn (two SEC West opponents back to back ?!?).

    Very challenging schedule for us!

Speaking of SC, with Bentley being out for weeks, his backup helped them put up 72 points against Charleston Southern last week. We'll see how SC fares against Bama in Columbia this week.

You can always count on having a battle in Jacksonville. Doesn't matter who's "supposed" to win

I disagree with most of the comments here. UGA is just flat out much better than most teams on it's schedule. SC and KY both lost their starting QBs. UT and FL would probably better off it they did. Auburn is our toughest game, but we probably still win that game by 10+. We are fans, we don't have to be focused in week to week we can look back at the big picture and admire the whoppins we are about to put on everyone we play this year.

It seems the writers on DawgNation love putting a big ole target on the back of the Georgia football team. I just wish they would stop with writing GA is already the King of the East. This team has a lot of talent, but they are still just college kids. A rash of injuries, or outside forces could de-rail this team this season. You can't play but one team at a time, so writers please quit with the declaring of Georgia as already winning the East, as they have only played one eastern SEC foe so far.

Missouri looked pretty dangerous in the first half last week.

Well...here's the unvarnished truth.......Anything short of 12-0 going into the SEC Championship game would be considered failure...I can't see who the Dawgs would lose to....probably the highest rank team they will face will be Auburn....However if they do lose this year I can't see them making a serious run at a National title...especially since they would have to get by LSU/Bama and probably Clemson......BTW, The Bama people are scared to death of LSU...for good reason

Really? In the last 30 years it seems like this game is rarely close...Usually a blow out one way or the other
