James Coley’s status should be questionable

With Cager out...I really have problems with a huge UGA win at KY. He is the go-to receiver for UGA. Top recruit. The guy played SC with a separated shoulder now an added rib injury. He is out. Plus other injured Dawgs. I just do not know at this point how UGA can gel together against a team that is coming off a really big win for them. Is it SC all over again? Let you know late Saturday.

Honestly, our lack of experience at wide receiver and lack of use of our tight ends (why?) makes us an incomplete offensive package - especially in this day and age of wide open offenses and running QBs. Add that to a non-mobile QB who is 0-5 when he has to throw more than 30 times per game and you don't have a National Championship Calibre team. Our OL may be big, but SC proved they can be pushed around and fail at protecting Fromm well enough. They stuffed our run game enough to force us to throw and had good man coverage.

Look at Bama's (4) primary receivers, and they are all-pro, experienced, and incredible athletes.

The truth hurts, but we've been exposed by SC. We barely beat ND (almost playing not to lose), and we struggled into the 2nd half against TN.

I'm a realist, and a huge DAWG fan. Unless we figure out a better offensive game plan and significantly improve our coaching and play calling, we won't make it to the SEC Championship. Hopefully, Cager will be back in time for Florida.

    GO DAWGS!!

Lot of people dogging Coley, but I'm hearing it's Kirby Strangling him. It's the reason he wanted him. Control. Kirby thinks Saban controlled everything, down to how much soap powder washing the towels. Saban replaces coach's every year and still wins. KIrby ain't Saban

I'm starting to wonder if Mullen's comment about Georgia may be true ("even a blind squirrel finds a nut"), this coaching staff is worrisome. I almost feel like the only way we will ever see a Nat'l Championship is if it falls in our lap. Kirby may know how to recruit, but Spurrier's comments about UGA back in the day are starting to come true ('Georgia gets all these recruits, but I don't know what happens to them on Saturdays") We were favored in every single game this year. This is because, on paper, we are the best team. Somehow what SHOULD be, is a far cry from what IS. These coaches need to get it together, what we are seeing on the field is pathetic. Kirby should know by now, that Saban eventually saw the writing on the wall regarding conservative offenses and brought in Kiffin to change things and open things up. Look at them now. High Octane. Smart needs to wake up. Teams are not going to allow us to ram the ball down their throat on the ground. How many times did we see Swift try to run between the tackles only to get embarrassed by S.C.? When that is not working, what is plan B? C? D? Come on, last year's failings were forgiven because this year was supposed to be THE year when all the pieces were going to come together and we would do great things. Our QB couldn't throw a decent pass. Our WRs couldn't get separation. Our OL couldn't block anybody. Our usually spot-on kicker looked like a rookie. Folks, BAMA would NEVER lose to a 2-3 unranked South Carolina team that is playing their 3rd string QB. Never. We are a looooooooooong way from being BAMA. GO DAWGS!

Let’s fire the coach and hire another and when he loses a game hire another and when he loses a game hire another...isn't that what Bama did when they lost to Ole Miss and what Clemson did when Dabo was losing games in the ACC his first six years and what Oklahoma did when Kirby's team beat them in the Rose Bowl? Any team that loses to a Kirby Smart coached team must have the most god awful coach in the history of god awful coaches save, of course, Kirby himself.

Richt is available and my bet is he would return to UGA if he was given a sincere apology and a lifetime contract at $5 mil per. We could get back into our comfort zone of "10 wins are enough" and getting our bowl game out of the way early so we could enjoy New Year's without worrying about the Dawgs being left out of the playoffs and instead, beginning in October, we could begin discussing the scenarios of how we can back into the SECCG. Ah, the memories of what it was like being a Dawg fan before Kirby came to Athens! Evidently, it doesn't get any better than that!

Let’s see what happens to Saban's "high octane" offense next year when Tua and his receivers are playing on Sundays. By the way, where was the "high octane" last year in the SECCG in the first half. Jalen saved their butts running the ball.
