Kirby Smart: Georgia looks forward to playing 'Top 10' Florida
Georgia football coach Kirby Smart said his Bulldogs always look forward to playing top 10 teams like Florida, which he said it well-coached

The team that played Notre Dame shows up, we have a chance
There couldn't be a better opponent for us to play following a poor performance against KY and a bye week. Everyone is pumping up Florida right now. Keep it coming for 2 weeks........I expect UGA to come out like they were shot out of cannon. I also expect Fromm to bounce back and carve up the Florida secondary like a hot knife through butter.
Smart wants to improve the Bulldogs..........what about improving himself......decision making..........game management....play calling..........player utilization............etc etc etc
David Pollack- "The strength of Florida is their wide receiving corps,” he said. “(Trask) throws the ball better down the field
Hey, glad we're known as running back U and not as a team that puts a big emphasis on the passing game.so that we'll get the best running backs and FLA can have the best receivers. We'll see how that difference in offenseive philosophy works out in 10 days.
Okay Mike, I have calmed down a little since last Saturday in Athens. I listened to your podcast on why we need to support Kirby and the players and much of what you said is exactly right. The receiving corps is banged up and not to mention the receiver who was supposed to be our best player got dismissed before the season began.
Georgia is built to be a power running team and that is fine. GA fans love to see our tailbacks take it to the house. Think of all the great players we have had toting the rock, I don't have to tell you why we are called RBU. I think the concern that I have and many other Bulldog faithful have, is the way we are going about executing the running game. GA Bulldog fans are sophisticated football fans, many of us have been watching games between the hedges for decades, and we know good play calling when we see it.
Georgia's offense is entirely too predictable. Who didn't know that when James Cook went out in motion to the left that Fromm was going to throw it over there to him? Certainly the D-back for Kentucky knew because he arrived at the same time the ball did, even though one of our receivers was trying to block him. Who didn't know that GA was going to try a QB sneak on 4th and 1 when they lined up with two running backs one either side of Fromm and a third 3 yds directly in back of him. The resulting rugby scrum went nowhere. Watching GA hand off directly into the middle of the line, time and time again in the first half was driving the fans crazy. That is why we were booing.
Specifically, I am not a fan of the single set back, two tight end formations that we have been running under Chaney and now Coley. I am not advocating going back to the I-formation on every play, but having a lead blocker for our running back is still a good idea. Did you see Sony Michel and the Patriots this weekend? They had a linebacker in as a fullback blocking for Michel on all three of his short yardage touchdown plays. What happened to using Wolf as a lead blocker like they did against Vandy? He blocked 2 guys and led the way for a TD. We haven't seen that play again since. And what about a toss sweep or a quick slant pass? Are those plays even in the playbook any more? Can one of our big guards even pull to get out in front on a running play?
Thanks for all you do Mike reporting on our team. I really appreciate your experience having worked at other programs around the SEC and the perspective that gives you. I know that sometimes us Bulldog fans must seem like spoiled children to you, but really we are not. We just want so badly for our team to win and have lived through so much disappointment in the past, that sometimes the frustration just bubbles over. I am glad we beat Kentucky but I am really worried about what is going to happen in Jacksonville in two Saturdays. We have been the better team but walked away the loser too many times to count. Let's hope that history doesn't repeat itself.
KS has made it clear every week that these items are on the agenda.... if youre listening.
Can we substitute this comment in for our OL? Much larger.......

Ok Kirby, watching Finebaum. The SEC has lost interest in the Dawgs. Most callers think we lose to fla and Auburn. I’ve watched Florida, they have issues also. Rally the team. 3 weeks ago we were #3..... now forgotten. Use this. You are now the hunter, not the hunted
JimDawg85...excellent post! Go Dawgs!
What will happen first? Will a Saban disciple beat the old coach or will a Mullins team beat a team that has Kirby on the sidline? I pick Kirby and the Dawgs in both cases!
By what standard has Mullet caught Kirby? Wins? A Mullet coached team has never beaten a team that had Kirby on the sideline. Recruiting? Not even close! Mullet running his mouth? Got to give you that one.
UF is a smoldering dumpster fire ready to explode!
