Georgia football November gambit starts with matchup against No. 7 Florida
When the Georgia football team was looking at its 2019 schedule, they broke it down into three parts. The Vanderbilt through Notre Dame games counted as part one. The Bulldogs went 4-0 during that stretch. Part two was the three-game October slate. That section of the schedule went much worse, as the Bulldogs lost to

Gambit?! I think maybe the word you're looking for is gauntlet, as in "run the gauntlet."
Anyway, I still think the Dawgs have a decided talent advantage over the Gators (though the gap is not as big as it was the last two years). It's just a matter of effectively turning that talent lose. And not turning the ball over four times.
Sports illustrated came out today will bowl projections. Have us in Citrus playing Minnesota. Oh boy
Can't keep being cautious. That time is over, give Jake and the offence the keys to the Ferrari and turn them lose.
Kirby's talk about the defense is "reverse" rat poison. They're ranked where they are for a reason, he just doesn't want them to get the big head and quit working hard. But that's OK.
But the writer trying to use the Kentucky game as any kind of excuse for us ranking 72nd in completions of 15 yards or more, the weather has little to do with that. Kentucky was our first game in adverse weather conditions. That ain't why we're that low. And if the weather had been fantastic, we'd still be in the 70s somewhere. No, we just aren't very good in that area.
My thing is, three weeks ago, we were feeling good about ourselves. Not great, but certainly panic had not set in. Now, with that one close loss to South Carolina, not only is this season in doubt, but somehow it seems like the entire UGA program is teetering. We've gone from being a lock to dominate the SEC East for years to come, to wondering if we can fend off Florida or Mizzou even THIS year. Man, CKS has got to get things back under control.
Lol
Gambit??? What does that even mean in this headline?

Now this is impressive. There's been no shortage of hand wringing taken to silly extremes over the past few weeks, but I dare say this is art. Starting off on what would surely pass for the foundation of a commentary on the perils of overreaction, then twisting it INTO the very same overreaction against which we might have been warned. The subtlety. The patience. The impeccable sense of irony. C'est magnifique!
Possibly "a calculated move" which is one of the definitions ........
Just to be clear, I'm not suggesting there aren't things that need to be corrected. Certainly there are. But can we maybe wait to at least see how this season plays out before we start fretting about the long-term status of the program?
Gambit, Gamut...close enough! The point NOT to overlook and barely mentioned here, Kirby faces UF coming off a bye, Mizzou coming in off a bye, going into to face an Auburn team who, yes you guessed it, OFF A BYE, not to mention having faced SC OFF A BYE, Tennessee OFF A BYE, Vandy OFF a 9 month BYE, not to mention GT OFF a 9 day break. Whoever the person responsible for allowing this inexcusably skewed schedule to be approved should be fired! This is much more than a Gambit,it’s a travesty. No other SEC team faces such disparity in teams having the advantage of two weeks prep. Florida and Auburn only face 1 team coming off a BYE by the way! ONE versus FIVE, sounds fair to me and Kirby!
ok....a calculated move to play the rest of the teams that are scheduled....makes no sense the way it is used in this headline.
It is tough to arm-chair the remainder of this tumultuous season. I am going ahead with UGA winning out and clashing with, I guess, LSU for the SEC crown. There is a chance. a chance that UGA will again punch their ticket for the Big Dance. You cannot count them out.
