We have the better roster, we just have to show up and show out. Hard fought game, but All dawgs in the end.......unless we go back to dive, dive, pass, and if thats starts well we will have to see.

If it wouldn't violate any NCAA or other Big Brother organization's rules, it would be fascinating to, one day, read an explanation of how "lines" work in sports. People seem to thing that it's a prediction methodology when it's actually a method for bookies to move money. If there's "action" on FLA, they'll sweeten the UGA side to move the bets. Bookies magic formula is equal money on each team. But we fans look at betting lines and think - oh wow, my team is favored by 21.5 points - we can't lose! Duh. Anyway, I'm no expert but it would be interesting to read something from someone who can put all this "favored by" stuff in context. Go Dawgs! (just win - I don't care about the line, thanks).

Ga won last game in monsoon for 4 quarters by 21 pts. UGA lost to SC with 4 turnovers and 2 missed kicks. UGA would have won with 1 turnover , 1 missed kick........ SC lost to Fl by less than 2 TD's..... Vegas figures UGA is money if minimal turnovers, no missed kicks....Which is correct.....GO DAWGS!!!!

You nailed it and then pulled your own nail out. It's all about getting equal money. The bookies ideal scenario is to end up with equal money bet on both teams. When the bets on both teams match no matter who wins the bets made on the losing team pay off the winner. The house takes a cut. If more is bet on the losing side the house keeps it. [if the bookie doesn't achieve equal money bet on both teams somebody's betting agains the house's money which is never good bookie practice. They're all about risk management and their risk to reward ratios].

The only reason Georgia is "favored' by the bookies is to get more money out of Florida fans who have to be "paid" to bet on Florida. It has zero to do with anything predictive of the game's outcome (except by the fans betting) and everything to do with the house coming out on top.

The bookies don't favor anyone but the bookies.

    Go, Dawgs!

FL didn't look like smoke and mirrors against LSU. They just got out hustled.
