Kirby has no other choice but to go with the Jax deal. His stock isn’t high enough right now to rock the boat after the SC loss. When he figures it out and wins us a NC, you can bet this game will move to Home and Home.

McGarity & Co. are unable to look at the larger picture as far as the football team is concerned. As a fan I absolutely hate what playing in Jacksonville does to the overall strength of the Football team. Yeah the extra cash is a windfall, but at what price? Look how close we were to winning it all in 2017. Now just imagine if we had had 2 additional elite players on that team. Kirby is absolutely right there is no question the net result is we are always going to lose additional elite players by not having that game in Athens every other year. Not to mention we lose a quality opponent in Athens every other year.

“What do you think those other teams are going to do with that?” Smart said. “I’m petitioning right now, if you’re Alabama and you’re Tennessee, are you going to help Florida and Georgia out? I don’t think they’re going to go for that. ”

I doubt the SEC will do the 'fair thing' and let Georgia and Florida have the same amount of 'home game' recruiting opportunities.

If it was a couple of other teams, they could simply ask, and it would be granted. Georgia, not very likely.

The only program that goes out of its way to help its opponents is UGA. Agreeing to change the Auburn date without a payback for playing away twice and playing our biggest rival in their home state comes to mind. McGarity only cares about money.
