imageAuburn's Gus Malzahn: UGA 'is maybe the most talented' team in the country

“Auburn Week” is finally here for UGA, and Auburn coach Gus Malzahn kicked it off on Sunday evening with some very complimentary words for the Bulldogs: Georgia “is maybe the most talented” team in the country, Malzahn told the reporters. That’s a pretty strong statement for Malzahn, who is usually very neutral and

Yep. That is a huge advantage. With the injuries we had against Missouri, I wish we had a bye week to heal.

Tenn, SC, Fla, Missouri, and Aub all have bye weeks before playing us. Were there any others?

Any angle that would encourage UGA. To underestimate/under plan for each of Auburn players/coaches....would be Malzahn's angle.....like we did against Carolina.

Now let's just see how talented his refs are inside Jordan-Hare. Evidently we had some blind ones at Sanford already Saturday night.

Auburn is pretty good, but so was Mizzou. Big up front and talented in the trenches. We have handled that style all season. Keeping the ball away from them will be a MAJOR key to success. If we continue to dominate 3rd down as in the previous two games, the results will be positive. Not allowing a rushing touchdown is certainly remarkable, but Gus is not going to get boneheaded about that in preparation. Dawgs are looking good to clinch in a close, low scoring affair. 24 - 13. Only Bo Nix can beat us here, but it may be "next year" for the freshman qb. Glad we won't see Joey Gatewood!

Malzahn compliments the Dogs—and it is self serving. If Auburn wins its “look how good we are.” If Auburn loses it is an instant excuse for why. And it is pure rat poison.

While UGA beat Missouri on Saturday, Auburn had a BYE WEEK and was able to begin EARLY PREPARATIONS for the Bulldogs. Said Malazahn: “We came back (this weekend), a lot of really good meetings. It was a positive practice. It’s good to have a LITTLE EXTRA TIME (preparing for GEORGIA).” YOU THINK?????

Dear Auburn, You are welcome. FIVE BYE TEAMS and THREE IN A ROW should make up for Kirby out recruiting and out working you guys, in this age of equality for those not wanting to work as hard I would hate to see you left behind. And since you have already lost two SEC games in spite of our great SEC Scheduling Committee's efforts of only giving you and Florida one SEC BYE TEAM to go against, here's you participation trophy. Regards, SEC Commish Stankey. P.S. Alabama keep your CFP bags packed, it ain't over yet...doing all we can for you Nick. Love you, mean it -Greg

Just keep showing the DAWGS "We beat the dog mess out of them!" The anti-rat poison.

My recollection is that seven of this year's opponents were coming off bye weeks before playing UGA. When you're one of the favorites, you're gonna get everyone's best shot. AU has probably the best DL group we'll see. Those four stack the box by themselves. Bryant and Brown will be super-motivated to dominate their home state school, and Pickens will likely be a cheap-shot target. Dawgs need to keep him cool and calm, and let the talent talk. Time for Coley and Co. to earn their keep with the game plan, same as Lanning has been doing. Gonna be another war. Time for the cream to rise! Go Dawgs!

JoeFann, just five, lol. However Ark St and GT have midweek games the week before so get extra prep time as well and Vandy had essentially a 36 week BYE as they were season opener. ND is the only team screwed worse than our Dawgs. If Kirby is able to pull off a miracle and lead Uga to the SEC crown I believe he will be the first SEC Coach to ever accomplish that while facing more than 3 SEC BYE teams. Can you say coach of the year?

"what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."-the principal in Billy Madison

I am getting tired of other teams having a bye week before they play uga... Counting the SECCG, there will be SIX opponents we will face who had an extra week to plan before playing uga....
