Alabama players not happy about UGA being ranked ahead of Crimson Tide

Frankly, I hope our guys are using all of this for motivation. Knowing that Bama (and others) are sitting there just hoping (needing) that we lose, will keep everyone focused down the stretch and into the SECCG. I think it's a shame that if UGA makes it to the SECCG, they will have to play -- and win -- that one additional game to get into the playoffs while Bama can sit at home, get healed and rested up, and then make it in the playoffs WITHOUT playing in the conference championship game, if UGA should lose. I still believe that gave Bama somewhat of an advantage two years ago. Go Dawgs!

Similar to the way Notre Dame sat back last year and waited for the fallout of all the Conference CG's, all because they don't play in one.

None of this really matters. It's noise. If the Dawgs win out and win the SECCG they would finish ahead of Bama no matter what they do going forward, and if the Dawgs lose a 2nd game we're out of it and they will slide in without even playing in the championship game just like a couple of years ago. They had their chance and lost to LSU. Too late to **** now.

It's fun to imagine all the potential playoff scenarios. Say we lose to Auburn, but win the other two. Then, we beat LSU in the SEC championship. Assuming all the other top teams have won out, who goes? OSU and Clemson for sure. LSU I would imagine since they would only have one loss. Would we go as two loss conference champs over other one loss conference champs like Oregon or Utah? Either way it would be controversial. If Baylor wins out, I'd imagine they'd be the team to take that last spot. IMO it doesn't seem likely Bama will get in unless Clemson or Ohio State loses. However, it would be hilarious (although extremely unlikely of course) if LSU ended up losing 2 of their last 3 and Bama went to the SEC Championship. It might end up being clear who the top four are or it might be controversial. Either way, the playoff needs to be expanded. 8 teams would be perfect. No one would have much room to complain about not getting in if there's 8 spots.

I'm sure that the bama players opinions will carry just as much weight as the opinions of our players on last years final rankings - absolutely none. After all, what do you expect them to think?

The issue here is not Georgia. Because if we win out, we are in and Alabama is out. It is about the case when Alabama wins out and we can't, then Alabama is not guarantee a spot right now. If Alabama is ranked #4, the only team who are likely to jump Alabama would be UGA if we win out. It will be difficult for any other team to do so. But as it is currently ranked, Oregon or maybe even Oklahoma may have a chance if they win out.

If Bama would have only beaten The Sisters of the Sick and Poor by another couple of touchdowns they would have jumped us on that strength of schedule thingy!
