This is about the best news we could hope for, health wise. The fact that Swift isn't even listed on the injury report is very good news. Hopefully, it means he'll be at 100 percent -- or at least where he was entering the Tech game. I thought Cager was out because of his ankle (by the way, does anyone know exactly what the injury was -- broken ankle, torn ligaments, high-ankle sprain?) and not his shoulder, but whatever. And I briefly saw Shaffer wearing a neck brace on the sidelines, which seems more severe than the neck sprain that has been reported. But again, whatever. Bottom line is he's not playing. Thank God for Cade Mays, but it was evident that he's really gutting it out every time he steps on the field. Kid is tough, but he's playing through the pain.

Wow, only a 4-point underdog, they give a lot of credit to our defense. Our defense is good, but not necessarily great. We don't have any weakness on the defense, but also don't have any unit (line, LB, DB) that could really dominate. I don't really expect them to be able to hold up against LSU offense.

I don't understand Swift's injury. On the play, the wild Dawg that never has worked, Swift ran left with the ball in his right hand, took the hit on his right side causing the fumble, came down on the point of his right elbow, and his left shoulder seemed to never obsorb any punishment. If his left shoulder was already injured to the point he could not secure the ball in the hand opposite the pursuit and any hit was going to cause further damage, he should not have been in the game.

Seriously! Are you serious? Only way we can’t hold up against LSU’s offense is if we have 4-6 three and outs and punt the ball 8-10 times thereby keeping them on the field too long. Otherwise, yeah, we can hold up against them. Go Dawgs!

I just thought the 4-point spread was quite low. Obviously the rest of the country agrees with me and the line has moved quickly.
