Kirby will have plenty of time to worry about the coaching carousel after we beat LSU. I think the conf championship week should be a dead week because it puts the teams playing in the title games at a big disadvantage recruiting wise.

I'm sure the rest of the coaches and ADs in college football are going to agree with you.

Kirby won’t have to worry about another team stealing our OC .

Tom1111....lololol. True. However, UGA is 11-1. I know, some of that was at the toe of Blankenship. And UGA did win the SEC East again. Outsiders look at that and find Coley appealing. Amen, keep Sam Pittman. Lanning will likely get tapped for one of the head coaching slots. This whole coaching thing is truly a carousel. GO DAWGS!!!

Our offensive linemen will need to live up to their pedigree on Saturday for us to have a chance. We can break their will if we can run on them and that will open up the passing game. Will be a long game if they are stuffing us at the line of scrimmage.

Lanning is NOT a candidate for a head coaching job. Seriously? He has been a defensive coordinator for ONE SEASON. He will be coaching UGA in 2020...take that to the bank. Would you give a multi-million dollar contract to a 33 year old that has proven himself for one year. Oh by the way, do you think Kirby had anything to do with the success of this defense?

Oh these coaching deals. Assistants get hot for one year and all of a sudden, they're at the top of head coaching lists. Brady at LSU seems to be the real deal, but some of these others guys (and maybe even Brady) need a little baking, I think, including Dan Lanning. Some of these second-tier programs (the Mizzou's and Arkansas of the world) will jump at the "hot" name from the assistant coach ranks because they really need to sell tickets quickly. The bigger programs will take their time and usually go after a proven head coach. I think that's what FSU is going to do.

But I think the question Dawg Nation writers should have put to Kirby (even if he would have sidestepped it) was does he plan to go after some coaches himself? In other words, would he be looking to "upgrade" his staff, since his mantra is that he's "always looking" for ways to improve the team. So come on Kirby. Get on the carousel. Go Dawgs!

Maybe a dream comes true and someone , anyone will hire away our OC and we can just re-hire Bobo and get his 30-42 points a game for a decade and a half back in Athens to go along with this Defense led by Lanning (honestly its the best defense scheme and talent wise I have seen in Athens)
