The only question is will Burrow be able to walk off the field on his own after the relentless pass rush?

Pass rush is one thing but getting him to the ground is another. He moves around very well and coming up and stopping him when he does break out of the pocket is going to be crucial, especially on third downs. I believe this defense, with Lanning and Kirby, are up to the task. I’m willing to bet they haven’t gotten a whole lot of sleep this week working on schemes! I like our chances! Go Dawgs!

The key to our winning is, as has been noted, hit him hard (cleanly) early and hit him hard repeatedly. Bring the heat and keep upping the temperature. Try to play coverage and he will hit passes and he will run successfully.

I have to be honest here, I'm an LSU fan. I watch UGA play and I see a lot of penetration by the D-line, but I don't see a lot of sacks. I think 26 for the year...? That won't work for Burrow. He thrives under pressure. His pass percentage under pressure is in the top 10 of NCAA QBs total percentage. That means that he passes better when he's in a hurry that almost every other QB passes from a clean pocket. You will have to get him on the ground. the problem is that you have less than 2 seconds to do so (on average). Also, the LSU offensive line is pretty good. They are able to keep the pocket clean for a few seconds so Burrow can get the ball out. really, the only thing I see working is play the receivers 1-1 with your great DBs. They might be able to cover for long enough to get to him. Even then, you will likely need to bring extra personnel which will leave the middle open for CEH to catch a dump pass out of the back field. Man, I am looking forward to this game. This is the most ideal matchup of strength vs. strength that we have seen all year.

Only 26 sack for the year. that's less than LSU and their pass rush is suspect. Penetration and contact are two different things. Also, Burrow is the toughest QB in football and its not even close. He will be walking off the field.
