UCF 2017 had 2 wins over teams in the final CFP Top 25. (Both Memphis, and Memphis only 2 losses of the year)

UCF was @ 12 headed into the bowl season in 2017.

Clemson is a lock into the CFP because they play in a P5 conference.

definitely would be pissed if I was a UCF fan rn.

this thread is coming across as mighty disrespectful....there are group of 5 teams that have tougher schedules....The clemson model inside the current system values scheduling equal to recruiting.

Clemson beat SC and A&M, they are the reigning champs, and their roster is loaded with talent.

They are potentially the best team in college football.

schedule matters....getting bloody every week takes a toll...most teams are half punch drunk with sore knuckles and ribs from fighting with (mostly) the big kids... for 12 weeks....clemson is healthy and ready to fight....they should be...even without tiger juice....if they get to skate every yr to the playoff ....thats a massive recruiting tool....at this rate we do away with conferences and schedule by lottery.

but they won't be in the playoff.... simply because they played better teams....not necessarily more talented teams but teams close enough in talent that mistakes cost you the win. clemson is playing a "championship" against a team not ranked in the top 20.
