Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

It sounds like oil and water do not mix, which is Evans and the coaching staff at his high school. It does not sound like Evans is a bad person, just like Pickens. They just need some love and guidance. Kirby will teach them and allow them to grow up. No worries here for what they have done this year. Very much overblown for both kids. Optics are bad for both, but I do not see anything that cannot be fixed with father figure type of coaches/staff that we have at UGA.
At the risk of sounding like a B, can we move the Evans opinions to another thread? Yes, he's a recruit, but this isn't about his recruitment.
Any kid that is trying to enroll early in to college and is a premier athlete definitely has there priorities straight. I don’t care what anyone says.
Both times Zach Evans has decided on Georgia there is an incident with his coaching staff. Now this could totally be a coincidence, but it is interesting if nothing else.
Additionally, the coaches are the adults. They are held to a higher standard. If his attitude warrants sending home, then he shouldn’t be on the team. Doing it now, and over a phone, smacks of pettiness. If this isn’t a case of seizing opportunity to create the worst possible optics for Evans and UGA, then I don’t know the motivation. It’s not fair to the teammates who want to win a title. As much as Evans owes his team to behave, the coaches have a greater obligation to do what’s best for the team. Sending the best player home because of a phone is, in my opinion, disproportionate to the situation and makes everyone involved look bad in an avoidable situation.
Agree and should add "and appears to be able to". That's not easy and requires hard work.

2020 recruiting is 90% done and this thread is going to be done in about 5 weeks. Been letting the comments slide so I will ask everyone to please take the Evans non recruiting comments to the other Evans thread

After Washington, Ringo, & Evan's announcements, I am looking for McKinnley, Lundy, and then a flip by Burch!
Next to Commit to the G 2020
It was this time last year I started watching recruiting for the first time after being a lifelong dawg fan. Can't tell you how awesome it has been watching the action and learning from all of you. It made the season and off-season that much better. Looking forward to next year watching "my inaugural class of 2020" on the field with the rest of the Rabid Red and Black. After having enjoyed the ride for a year, I hope to contribute more as this is my first ever post. Super proud of this explosive class regardless of how close we get to 318. Thank you all! Happy Holidays.
Great first post @Rhino . Keep posting . We always need more great contributors.
Have a very Merry Christmas.
So still no confirmation on Burch signing LOI? What are SCAR boards saying?
SALUTE, Rhino. I don't post much either but I do follow religiously. Much to be learned here from those in the know. Jeff, SoFl, Texdawg etc. These guys keep us closer to the team we love.
Along with all the short term threads, we soon will turn our full attention to the Next to commit '21 thread and start this madness all over again!!
So, again, thanks to the guys and I will say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Love to all the DGDawgs
Even ESPN and other national outlets are now saying that he didn't and will now have to wait until Feb of course, so doesn't look like he did.
FWIW espn ran an article today about him not signing his LOI and that the other schools have still been in communication with him.
That's awesome @Rhino .
My first class following was '14 after seeing that picture of Chubb jumping to the Moon at that track meet. Then learning we were getting him and another 5 star in Sony. I had to know more. I had to know everything there was to know. Been hooked ever since
Also, I know how to delete drafts but I refuse to in that second quote's case from @AugDawg69
