Does Marcus Rosemy...

Remind y’all of Michael Thomas? They have similar measurables and both posses great hands. I’m anxious to see if he can run crisp routes as Michael Thomas though. But any how I think we have great one with Marcus Rosemy.

Thing is though, Michael Thomas was not this version you see with the Saints while in college. Saints saw the measurables and test scores and took the “gamble”
Zach Smith (not the greatest source, but still) said that he was the most talented, driven player that he ever worked with and guaranteed a saints staffer that he would be the best WR in the NFL one day. Take that for what it’s worth
I think Rosemy is 1A in this WR class. He has it all, could be a little faster but like Pickens his body control and hands more than make up the difference.
To be clear, i was not saying he wasnt good. Main point was, his college stats no way reflect what he is now doing in the pros.
Comparing an incoming freshman to a All Pro is a stretch this early on.
Yeah I wasn’t really arguing stats just saying what people thought of his ability in college. Hard to have great stats as a wide receiver when the most dominant player in CFB at the time is in your backfield. The whole offense ran through Zeke.
Zach Smiths podcast on YouTube is a pretty great source of info on what went on during those years at OSU
But yes Rosemy is not going to come out of HS and be The Michael Thomas that’s playing for the saints right now. No one is though
That IS/WAS my point haha
was Trying to give the OP the benefit of the doubt. Lol
I never said he was going to be Michael Thomas I said they are similar with measurables and being possession receivers with great hands. I also said I need to see rosemy run more routes and see how crisp he makes them.
Agree on what you said above, but is be willing to bet his routes wont be as crisp as a probowler coming from HS.
I guess i was getting at, better to compare a true upcoming freshman in college to a previous college player’s college self/stats and not his future probowl self - which you never said either college/pro i just assumed the current version (as he didnt do nearly as much in college. )
And Thomas had JT Barret at QB........not Haskins or Fields
Obviously all 4 guys we landed in this class can ball. Each one brings a different "style" to the table. All of them do have the ability to take the top off of any defense. That single element alone has me more excited about any guys we've brought in since KS's arrival. We've got 2 extremely good route runners with amazing hands with Burton and Rosemy. Arian is so fast he's a danger to take it to the house everytime he touches the ball. And to have a 6'4 kid with a huge catch radius and only have 2 years of football underneath his belt shows that Justin's potential is through the roof. Not knocking ANY WRs from previous classes, but as we can and have seen; several were "projects" that possibly had the potential to produce for us. NONE of these 4 fall in that category. I can see all 4 being in the league in 3-4 yrs.
I still want us to land top RBs by running the ball and winning at the line of scrimmage. But if we take advantage of these 4 guys by getting each one involved no matter WHO we play and letting them showcase their attributes; we are gonna light up the board quick and often.
