Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I’ve only followed recruiting for a few years, about the same time I got chummy with my source and he’s passionate about this obviously.
Never seen anything like this one. I think your mindset is the right approach here, excited if we keep him, understandable if we don’t.
Really?
That’s what’s been reported elsewhere. I realize it doesn’t align with what south fla is saying but the guys reporting it are pretty reliable.
When was the last time you’ve watched this kids highlights? Kid is an absolute monster. Watch and be happy with this 2020 class regardless
He doesn’t want out of his LOI, I think that’s evident. It doesn’t mean that he didn’t contact another school after sending his LOI in. He could’ve because the maturity isn’t there; speculating but could’ve easily thought he was trolling someone else. Sometimes the simplest answer is the right answer. More came out from an issue that arose.
His actions, interviews, etc...all indicate Athens is where he wants to be for the next 3 years.
Guess we’ll find out shortly (I hope) lol
So why wouldn’t we roll the dice?
is he THAT toxic?
I see a kid that needs to get into a college athlete schedule immediately.
workouts/class/meetings/tutors all day long.
I feel like his high school coaches are just out to get him and know how to push his buttons and really hold their authority over him.
They clearly don’t like that he has picked UGA, and are doing everything they can to mess up this kids chance.
I think he just desperately needs to get out of Houston ASAP and be surrounded by people that want to see him succeed.
I'll just be glad when Groundhog day is finally over.
I would think getting back into the mix, specifically speaking about Kirby, would be considered rolling the dice. Dell May have never wavered, but I have confidence that Kirby pulled the reigns back initially.
I don’t know whether Evans will be in this class or not. Just saying to temper expectations.
Not sure why it posted twice?? But if Ringo were to be a RB being recruited, where do you think he’d be ranked ? Kid has good vision and quickness
I'd like to see some 1 v 1 Ringo covering Julian Fleming.
2020 CFP
NOLA semifinal
UGA vs OSU
Fromm vs Fields
Ringo vs Fleming
I have a feeling the CFP committee genie will grant your wish.
Do you know his coaches to question their integrity?
Now I’m all for giving the kid a chance at UGA.
His coaches have done him the greatest favor. They’ve disciplined him at an early age. Too often in the past football players have been able to get away with things in school due to their value to the team and it ends up negatively affecting them in adulthood as their unchecked behavior gets them into serious trouble.
Give the kid a chance but thank his coaches for loving him enough to discipline him and not overlook things so the team can win.
Dont be one of these parents that blame the teacher for their child’s misbehavior.
@texdawg I believe you know these coaches. Tell me if I am wrong.
Only met Jon Kay and have heard him speak. Very respected coach. I would definitely let my son play for him.
I do not know any of the assistant coaches.
I would further add that if Zach Evans is successful one day he will thank his HS coaches
Thank you for that ^^. Makes sense. Just trying to process this in my brain.
I figured that Evans had done something post LOI that ticked off UGA. He signed, he's in the NCAA system. Why would he need to apologize at this stage? Did he mouth off, be dismissive, do/not do something explicit; place a lighted bag of shite on the HS coach's porch and ring the doorbell? Yeah, that fits.
I hadn't figured that there was more to the phone incident. This would be the most serious in that it would show a very bad pattern. But, I think it is the most unlikely - might well be true nonetheless - in that a physical encounter would surely be a key element that would have been reported/leaked immediately.
As to the ACT, he was late? to a practice due to taking it. Perhaps the offense is that he should have taken it at an earlier date, he dragged his feet?
I want Evans too. Would be a real shame not to have him part of the team. But cannot be a distraction, surely.
If he goes elsewhere, I would love to know what happened.
To me for us not to take him it better be something so significant that no one will take him. If LSU Alabama etc will take him then we should too. If he turns out like Brenton Cox then we kick him off the team.
