Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Exactly what I was thinking.... talking about beating a dead horse......
The horse twitched so the beatings had to resume
And will continue until morale improves!
Zachary Evans, the running back from Texas?
I think wherever he goes, he will be fine. The questions have been about his maturity, never his talent. As for his punishment being not playing for UGA, that might be more a case of cutting off your nose to spite your face because I think we needed him in our RB room more (especially in the short term) than he needed to be in Athens. Baton Rouge, College Station, Gainesville...wherever he lands, he is going to put up numbers and end up the league. We, on the other hand, are heading in the 2020 with more questions at the position upon which our offense is currently built than the fan base or the people who cover the team care to admit.
Questions at the position?
1 Is Zamir White fully recovered and is he going to regain his shiftiness and speed.
2 Is James Cook durable enough to be successful in the SEC.
3 How good is Kenny McIntosh.
4 How good is Kendall Milton going to be.
5 The most important Zamir White 6-0 215, Kendall Milton 6-1 225 and Kenny McIntosh 6-1 210 are all the same type of running backs. If anything happens to Cook who is going to be the change of pace back.
Zamir was supposed to have the agility and speed to do it al out of HS
Disregard quote.
after all this I still see us taking one more RB . Sticking by my belief this roster always having 5 scholarship RBs every year
Can you suggest who that might be, or a short list?
could be a guy like D. Edwards or Clayton or someone else I haven’t even thought of yet. Will be interesting to see
I wonder if we go after a guy we haven't even offered yet? Jalen Berger looks like a good change of pace guy. Quick, elusive, athletic, and good hands too, so he could split time with Cook as the "quick back".
We have a better running back room then almost any other team in college football next season even without Evans. There are only a few teams that could even make a claim to be more talented than UGA.
Step back and take some perspective of how stacked UGA is. Yes Swift will be missed but we are not hurting.
Yeah, but we're pretty short with only 4 guys. Wisconsin has double that number of backs right now. One or two injuries and we're precariously thin all of a sudden at a position we have historically been very deep at. For a school that runs the rock as much as we do, 4 RBs on scholly isn't going to cut it.
Everybody just needs to be patient and let the coaching staff do their jobs. We have no idea if another back will be in this class or not. When Kenny McIntosh signed everybody was upset cause it seemed like a wasted spot but now he's looking pretty good. I'm sure the staff has several targets that they like a lot and are doing their best to get them to sign. Having a freakout about numbers before the class is done is pointless because we have no clue how it will end. This is a really good recruiting staff. Let them do their job.
