So much goes on off the field of which we have little inkling. This was a big deal. Cade is better off with TN...close to home, mom and dad and little brother. Security. We will replace Cade...no problem. See you at the UGA Tenn tilt, Cade. It will be fun.

let's get this right,,,,THE Hillbilly parents (Tenn alumni) sue the athletic dept and and metal folding chair manufacturer for dad pinching his finger off because it was caught between column wall and the chair, doing what? sitting his fat a-- on the chair, and sliding back against the column....leaving his son, a starter,,,,, to explain why the parents are so low rent, they sue a program, that they never wanted his son to attend ,,to begin with.... Sad...Kid now has to go...and wreck his career playing for a line and head coach that was not his preference, and possibly sit out a season..,,,,,Would they have sued Tenn if the accident occurred there? The parents win here. They can watch both kids in same stadium,,,Hope this case is thrown out immediately, and have to pay court costs for bringing this ridiculous suit.

What a redneck play. Tennessee will be a fine fit for that kind of family. However, he should have to sit a year. Just because his father had an accident with those darn "newfangled" folding chairs does not justify an instant transfer.

Y’all ain’t gonna never know the sufferin’ daddy done gonna go through. Nightmares of foldin’ chairs breakin’ into the trailer at night. Foldin’ tables watchin’ you down by the still, probably rattin’ you out to the revenuers. Terror sweats when after seein’ foldin’ napkins. Injured hand probably keeps him from slappin’ women around and buryin’ kinfolk in the backyard. Family needs that money for important things like learnin’ to read the instruction manual on a foldin’ chair, dip, tattoos, and those fancy boots with pimples on ‘em. Lawyer done told the family they’d gonna be rich suin’ the lard maker fer makin’ ‘em fat, so if the chair thing drags on and does not get the boy into Knoxville school right away, it’s okay.

What does UGA have to do with some idiot redneck severing his own finger by accident? This will get laughed out of court.

I find this whole thing troubling...there is stuff here that we don't know about...To start with he has already been here for two years...it would take something more then a coach leave to transfer and risk having to sit out a year...what's going on

It still makes zero sense for Mays to leave the program. NONE.

I listened to an interesting commentary on 247 that this may be a quid quo pro deal with the whimpy whimpering dad trying to force UGa into letting Cade “the traitor” Mays play next year for UT instead of sitting out a year. No coincidence that the lawsuit was filed the same day Cade announced. In other words, if UGa signs a letter to the SEC and NCAA giving their blessing for Cade playing then Daddy “the whimp” will drop the lawsuit. Sounds like a possibility to me that this occurred. Hopefully we won’t stoop that low and besides, it was the chair and stupidity that caused the injury.....not UGa. Give me a break!!!

That's some slimy hillbilly crap right there. Talk about shady, let him go and I'll be glad when he's gone. His dad is a POS waiting 2 years to do something in an attempt to help his boy get immediate eligibility to play next year. I would say if we had an AD worth a crap we'd fight this and make Cade sit next year, but we got McGarity, so he'll just roll over and play dead.

.......and the injury occurred during a recruiting visit when Cade was in HS. Hmmm, took a while to sue didn’t it?!?!

I observed repeatedly in the South Carolina game that Cade Mays (number 77) let the defender get by him to tackle Fromm. IMO, Mays was a big reason Fromm didn't perform as well in that game. Other times, off and on, Mays would let defenders through, and during the LSU game, Mays did his usual. He also let defenders through several times during the Baylor game, but UGA had that game covered, anyway. The bulldog right tackle usually held the defenders off. Let Mays go to UT, and let's run our defenders by his position.
