Looking back.....Georgia finished 6th in recruiting......If they reranked them today, I don't think Georgia would finished 6th...this was an average to good class at best

Solomon Kindley & J.R. Reed being really underrated, along with 5-star quarterback Jacob Eason, 4-star defensive end Chauncey Manac, 4-star linebacker Jaleel Laguins, 4-star cornerback Chad Clay being overrated tells you that these recruiting ranking are WAY over-hyped.

I mean, how does a coaching staff make it to the college level (Tulsa) & is not able to tell that J.R. Reed is a really good player?? He sits at Tulsa, then shines in the SEC & is a Jim Thrope Award Finalist and First Team All-American as a senior for the Bulldogs?

Hindsight is good as long as it precedes profitable foresight. I consider 2016 a starter class for Coach Smart. Mecole Hardman is a case of maximum utilization at UGA....followed by an early stellar NFL career and a super bowl ring. Once JR Reed found UGA as home, he flourished under Smart! SEC is a whole nother ballgame than Tulsa. I agree also on OL Kindley and DL Tyler Clark. Earth movers for the Dawgs. This 2020 class is a lot different as coaches and players adjust to a more aerial attack or at least more options with the new QBs. Looking forward to the 2020 season...especially at Bama. Going to be the year of the DAWGS!!!

Enjoyed this article and it looked like a good bit of work. Brian Herrien not only scored his first game but on his first carry.

I have to agree Timothy.  Mecole Hardman Jr. got a grand total of 6 starts here and seemed headed for a redshirt not even a snap the first several games.  Ended up buying his mom a home and winning a Super Bowl.  He makes 19 years in a row one of our Bulldogs played in the Super Bowl.  I guess he read his press clippings...

That Hardman TD still gives me goosebumps. What a play
