Former NFL star: UGA pass rush 'one of the biggest stories of this year'

"The talent isn’t in question"
I disagree. I think talent is the main reason Clemson has averaged 49 sacks per year while UGA has fewer than 30 twice in 4 years, & a ceiling of 34.
Until UGA starts consistently recruiting on the DL it will continue to be an issue.
You might want to read up more on Jeff Sentell’s recruiting post. We are loaded at edge rusher and the last two cycles are interior prospects take a back seat to no one. Chuck is right no excuses time to produce these guys are now third and second year players. They need to get pressure consistently with a four man rush.
I believe the guy was dead on the money about lack of technique. When you're giving up 30-40 lbs on an OL, you don't have a chance bull rushing them. Lack of any kind of swim moves, spin moves, anything really, is what's killing us in the games against bigger lineman. Look at the LSU game, all bullrush except for trayvon. Then SC made our offensive line look terrible because they did have techniques off the line.
