Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

So where does everyone think he his place is in terms of UGA Basketball? He certainly isn't Dominique and I dont think I could put him above Sundiata Gaines from 08'. He just never had big moments (no real fault of his own).
What does everyone else think?
He brought excitement to the program for the first time in a while. Never could find his jumper, but made some great dunks.
Undefeated record in postseason play. Legend status.
Need to enforce tiebreaker rules and get that auto ticket to the (likely canceled) big dance with our playoff record/point differential in the SEC tourney
I don't care, we should hang a banner. "2020 SEC Tournament Co-Champions"
@CTDawg Amen Sir. Here! Here!
I want rings made, a parade, a replica of the trophy, decal wraps on police cars... No one has ever done anything like that, right??
Georgia finished 13th in a conference of 14 teams. Very few people would term that “excitement.” Early season hype? Sure. Preseason excitement? Fine. Once the leather hit the rim the excitement got pretty dim.
He was an exciting 18 year old. Played with a smile on his face. Wish him the best of luck in the NBA if and when it returns. Go Dawgs.
Woulda been a whole different story if Claxton had stayed.
Woulda, coulda, shoulda , I know.
Indeed. I think Antman needs another year. Lots of great athletes in the NBA that cant shoot.
I guess it depends on specific criteria. In terms of impact on the program, Ant-Man probably won't rate very high, since this season will go down as eminently forgettable. But in terms of talent, he can't rank anything worse than #2 behind 'Nique. My top five (modern era) would be:
Honorable mention: Vern Fleming, Willie Anderson, Alec Kessler, Litterial Green, Shandon Anderson, D.A. Layne, Trey Thompkins, J.J. Frazier, and Yante Maten.
Sundiata Gaines was a solid player and a DGD, but not on the level of the guys above.
Great list! I particularly liked L. Green, J. Jones, and J.J. Frazier.
True funny story from 1983: My roommate Chip kept stats for Coach Hugh Durham's basketball dogs and went to Rupp Arena with the team. He came back amazed at the crowd, tradition and atmosphere saying, "And you should see all the banners they have hanging!"
Me - "And there's are like 'Won NCAA Championship,' while all we got is 'NIT Participant'"
However, just a couple months later we got to hang up 2 new ones - "SEC Tourney Champs" and "NCAA Final Four 1983".
Go Dawgs!
Verne Fleming was key recruit and leader of the 1984 final four team. 10 year+ pro and underrated.
