Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Kinda cool this morning here. My teenagers are starting to adjust after about 10 days of new social rules. They don't like it, but it's not as mind-blowing as it was. My dude from "Lost" just came out and said a Z-pac and that malaria drug fixed him up. That's one down, about 5000 people to go before it matters scientifically - but I guess you need to start somewhere.
I hope you all are staying safe! Prayers to all you guys in the line of fire right now. You guys are heroes.
I've been taking all the precautions up to this point except still having to go to work. Wasn't really that worried though until seeing more mentions of people with asthma, as I have. Mild, I think because I've never had an attack, just troubled breathing here and there. Almost had a full blown anxiety attack last night though reading through this thread lol. Trying to hang on to the more positive posts
Are you saying you actually know someone who was infected and successfully treated with a z-pack and chloroquin(sp)?
That would be welcome news to many.
edit: I see you probably just follow him in the news.
Please don't. Let's keep it calm guys. We're all in this together
University of Minnesota is doing a small trial of 1500 people using chloroquine. We'll get a better idea of how well it works in several weeks.
I currently live in N. Italy and the government is getting desperate at the moment to try and arrest the spread of this thing.
The best explanation I've heard as to why Lombardy and specifically Milan were the epicenter of the outbreak is the recent investment by the PRC into the ports on Italy's west coast and other infrastructure projects in the area as part of the "one belt, one road initiative." The air travel back and forth to Wuhan was fairly regular and the spike occurred just after many thousands of Chinese returned to Italy after the Chinese New Year celebration in late JAN early FEB. This and the Asian tourism in Venice likely gave the virus a strong foothold in Italy prior to the rest of Europe experiencing the wave.
Such confusing times. From people saying its not real to those ready for TEOTWAWKI people are reacting so differently.
By the way are any of you in law enforcement or know folks who are? The three i know in California at different police departments are receiving training and instruction on martial law.
Yikes.
It's so sad. People are going to suffer through this. Over the weekend 1200 airport workers were laid off in New York. Waitresses at the restaurants and people who work in the news stands etc.
Just all let go in one day an told their benefits end at the end of the month with no severance. I just hope that folks can stay healthy and get back to work or make ends meet as soon and as comfortable as possible.
DOJ is also asking Congress to suspend habeas corpus
Raining in nyc today. Good part is maybe people will actually stay Inside at least for a day
Hope you and your family are safe & healthy (!)
I've heard this from several Italian colleauges & friends, as well.
I've read this in several places. There is a huge Italy/China connection. I'd be willing to bet Iran also has a very strong Chinese connection that could explain their rash of cases.
Thanks brother, all good here.
Still have plenty of beer on hand, plenty of TP, AND I have a bidet.
They do. Iran was also part of the "one road initiative."
Are you just being cute to mock @Kasey.
Please don’t. Let’s keep it calm or Someone might get told to ramstein something up their airbase. 🤒
Good gouge below if anyone's interested: OBOR project impacts a bunch of countries. It will be interesting if COVID 19 pops up across Africa. If not, then the heat may be a factor helping them.
According to the Wall Street Journal, “China Railway Engineering Corp. is building a $2.7 billion high-speed rail line through Qom. Chinese technicians have been helping refurbish a nuclear-power plant nearby.” Iranian medical professionals suspect either Chinese workers in Qom or an Iranian businessman who travelled to China from Qom caused the spread of the coronavirus in Qom.

Just curious if anyone personally knows anyone positive for the virus. I good friend of mine was feeling a little cruddy and got tested this week. No results yet, but I'm pretty sure he is not infected. We have 4 positives in our County.
We have a family friend who tested positive in Georgia
