Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Beach Club, WDW. Walking distance to eleven countries.
I’m so dumb, this is literally what I did for our honeymoon for 4 days and then a Disney cruise for 3 nights. Highly recommend this, especially if food and wine festival is going on.
Based on the the title this is not the thread I expected. Nevertheless, congrats! Best decision I ever made.
Ha! Totally unintentional... Read it again shortly after I posted it and was like... this will get some clicks lol
I can beat that. I'm so dumb I didn't know what WDW stood for.
Hawaii is incredible. I recently checked and you have to be quarantined for 14 days before you can leave your hotel.
August is a few months out though. Congratulations!
Kauai/Maui/O'ahu
Whew. I was afraid we were about to have to have THE talk when I saw the title.
Someone said HWY 1 on the west coast and I second that. Wife and I flew to LAX and drove the cost and wine country for 10 days then flew out of San Fran last year. Bucket list trip for us but would be perfect for honeymoon. We had already done San Fran to Seattle a few years ago and San Diego to LA previously so this connected all the dots. If you go this route go ahead and book a couple nights at the Tickle Pink Inn in Carmel... it's an old Rat Pack hangout. Don't waist your time in SF... That place has become a breading ground for what we called voluntary homelessness! Great trip otherwise!
My wife and I love going to St. Augustine or Savannah if you like history it is hard to beat them. They both have beaches close by (although not as nice as Florida's panhandle) and plenty of shops, restaurants, art galleries, etc.
If you go to Hawaii, the current law says you must stay in your room with the bride for 14 days. 😉

Don't forget mid August is the real start of hurricane season. If you go somewhere in the usual path, having the ability to audible is a good idea. I wouldn't necessarily avoid Florida, but I would have a plan B.
Cruises are also a great option to see a few places and an not need a passport so long as you enter back in the same port that you left from. By August all the cruise lines should be back up and running.
Good point. I had a vacation wrecked by a Cape Verde hurricane a few years ago. Also, if you do plan on coming to S.C., just know that we have a Governor who tends to be a little quick on the trigger with evacuation decisions.
My advice is to learn to say “yes dear” and seem sincere once the honeymoon is over.
You will know the honeymoon is over when she comes in to use the bathroom while you are brushing your teeth.
All joking aside, best wishes for a great honeymoon and a great life together!
Timberline Lodge on mount hood. The mountain is the one you see on Paramount pictures. The lodge is where they filmed the shining. Built by craftsman during the CCC during the Depression. Or stay in nearby Portland and enjoy city amenities with quick access to the beautiful Columbia Gorge and it’s many waterfalls
@Copedawg16 Honeymoon advice? Here is my two cents.... (I've always liked this one!)
PS- My most sincere congratulations, and well wishes for a most happy and prosperous life for you two together always.
