- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Players are really beginning to learn how much power they have. I'm not sure if this is the right move or a smart move, but this kind of action by players have shown results at FSU and OKSt. It'll will be an interesting thing to watch how state of Mississippi officials handle this one:

Just an FYI who didn't see this last week:
Long overdue
If they really wanted to remember the Confederacy they would change their flag to this
My two cents worth on this. The flag needs to be changes. Most of the Southern states have already removed it, and Miss. needs to follow suite. The Governor has stated he feels it need to be on the ballot and decided upon by the state's citizens. If Hill cannot wait for a few months to let the voters decide, he is perfectly welcome to sit out the season and possibly lose his scholarship. It is still a free country (in theory) and the decision is his. But to blackmail the school/state with his attitude is wrong.
What's more wrong? Using your voice as an athlete to push for societal change by threatening to not play or flying a flag with a symbol that represents a country founded on white supremacy?

The last time I checked, this country was founded in a revolt against England to escape the tyranical rule of a King who would allow no representation for the colonies. At no point at that time period was White Supremecy even a notion to be considered. If you are going to use history as your argument, please use actual, not revised history that feeds a present day political narrative.
I think he was referring to the confederacy
It was not "a notion to be considered" because it was taken for granted.
Yeah, I thought that was obvious
We're talking about the confederacy. The Mississippi state flag has a design commonly associated with the confederacy. The confederacy was founded on white supremacy. No one is talking about the US flag.
Apparently not when you have goal posts to move
In all seriousness, what does this have to do with the price of tea in China?
The school officials have spoken too.
This is not the worst idea.
I thought she was from Louisiana?
