imageGov. Kemp says people need to 'hunker down' and wear masks

One of UGA’s biggest fans warned that the college football season is at risk if more people don’t start wearing masks. That fan is Brian Kemp, governor for the state of Georgia. “If people, especially our young people, don’t start wearing a mask when they’re going out in public and our numbers keep rising, that’s

Why is Kemp a subject here? Kemp could mess up a wet dream. Any wet dream. This thread is about to devolve. Go figure.

Duh. A day late and a dollar short Kemp. Hard to reverse your screw-ups now.

If he had said this earlier and followed guidelines, we wouldn’t be in this mess. “One of UGA’s biggest fans” may have cost his favorite team his season.

@EricDawgs1 I live in Athens and it's a very big deal to this city and economy if we don't have a season.

I agree with Governor Kemp 100%, so my question is why doesn't he make that mandatory statewide? I'm not saying to shut things back down, but people need to be cautious. If you have symptoms, get tested and stay home. If you're at high risk, stay home and when you have to go out, wear a mask. Social distance as able. Wash your hands frequently and for gosh sakes, keep your hands off your face. I for one always look forward to the college football season and will be very disappointed if some people are unwilling to be uncomfortable for a little while so that we can get a handle on this! Take care and be safe

Three important reasons to wear a mask. We are our brothers keeper (Gen 4) and we are to love our neighbor as ourself. Secondly if covid19 is not stopped many small businesses will close and go bankrupt destroying the lives of many families (owners, rental property companies, their workers and suppliers will be without jobs). Individuals and their families will suffer. A crashing economy could affect your job and finances. People will lose their homes. Thirdly we may not have Georgia football unless we stop covid19. Do the right thing. Wear a mask.

Let's face it folks...college administrators are playing Russian Roulette with their athletes. The NCAA seems determined to move ahead with a mishmash plan to continue profiting off of unpaid labor. The players don't even have a seat at the bargaining table, and the commissioners, Presidents, and administrators are decided the player's fate in the midst of the worst pandemic we've seen in over 100 years. You can always be optimistic that college football will go on as scheduled.

The question REALLY is - SHOULD IT?

Boy, if there ever was a time for a players' union it would be now.

Nick Saban said this weeks ago. But then, he's way smarter than Kemp.
