Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I'd want to know how much this thing is spreading so I can change my routine if necessary. Why is it a scare tactic to report on things that are happening? To me that's a scary thought to have the government hide all the numbers and say "We'll tell you when this is over". There needs to be transparency in order to have faith in what they tell us.
Yea the sheet says 4 days to be contacted and to call them after 5 days have gone by without being given results. We will see by Tuesday/Wednesday if that is the case.
Man .....how I get it..we just want the complete truth.....it's never easy to lose everything you've worked so hard to build.
And even worse if it possibly could have been avoided.
Here you go. It’s no longer being hidden that deaths are being listed as a Covid death, even if it was not the direct cause of death.
Earlier this week I mentioned my brother getting tested and waiting for results...
As a recap, he started having symptoms Monday 7/6, was tested Thursday 7/9, and as of today 7/19 is still awaiting his test results (Atlanta area).
He's been symptom free for a week now, and fortunately he's been cleared to return to work tomorrow. I've heard of several businesses that won't allow employees to return to work until they've either tested negative without an associated positive test; or if they've tested positive have to test negatively two consecutive times before being allowed to return.
Crazy to think about 2 week turn around times to get test results when these are the criteria some people have to follow before being able to return to work. Fortunately my brother had a good bit of PTO built up, but even so burned all but 3 days. Had his work not cleared him to return to work before getting his test results, there's a good chance he would have had to go on unpaid leave while waiting.
Ezike said that the state is being careful to make sure to weed out deaths where the patient had COVID-19, but died in a manner completely detached from the virus, such as gunshot wounds or motor vehicle crashes.
“There are also some additional deaths that happen in someone who happened to be COVID positive, but where the COVID infection had nothing to do with the deaths,” she said. “So we are at IDPH trying to remove those obvious cases where the COVID diagnosis was not the reason for the death. If there was a gunshot wound, if there was a motor vehicle accident, we know that that was not related to the COVID positive status.
“We are trying to make sure that things that aren’t related at all to the COVID diagnosis are removed, but if someone has another illness, like heart disease, and then had a **** or other event, it’s not as easy to separate that and say COVID didn’t exacerbate that existing illness. That would not be removed from the count,” she added.
This is a deceptively edited video.
Depending on the size of company, many employees of smaller companies are eligible for paid leave, and the business will get reimbursed by the Govt.

My wife was tested in Atlanta on Thursday. Results back yesterday. She went to the Dept of Health location down at Wolf Creek.
I'm sorry yale......edited or not.....her message was pretty clear.
And it's starting to become a reality.
AMERICANS NEED TO KNOW WHO DIED FROM THE COVID DISEASE. NOT WHO DIED AND ALSO HAD COVID.
Her message is very consistent with what I've been hearing and sharing...
The question remains......how deadly is this disease to healthy people under the age of 70....then we can use all the resources available to keep the elderly and vulnerable healthy.
Meanwhile, the FDOH continues to publish data different from yours. 11.85% positive rate for newly identified cases yesterday
I posted her comments that directly go against what that video is trying to convey. Why do you only take her word in that video but not the other?
Why do you not understand that it doesn’t matter what she said? The issue is that this has been happening, not whether or not someone is trying to find and correct some of the “mistakes.”
They won’t find them all. They probably won’t really even try.
Because it is absolutely consistent with what I'm hearing.
Tell me this. .....in all honesty.....
Take out nursing home deaths and deaths of people with serious underlying conditions (not suggesting those deaths aren't important... they are.....but we could concentrate efforts to keep the vulnerable population as healthy as possible)
In all honesty..... how deadly do you think this virus really is?
I realize some healthy individuals of all ages have died and will die from covid.
But in your honest opinion......how deadly is covid to a relatively healthy person age 70 or younger?
And @YaleDawg .... which video was recorded first? Could she not be back tracking because she was told to do so?
She seemed pretty darn clear in that first video.
Tex, I know you asked Yale, but I thought I'd chip in some info. In Florida (the most 65+ citizens of all states, outside of CA, which has almost twice the population) about half of the deaths are associated with nursing homes. That would be about 2550 non-nursing home deaths. But, let's just take R. Jones' numbers for cases as of now: ~363K. So 2550/363K gives us about .007 *currently*. Easy number to remember. It's important to realize that many of the cases are recent so deaths per cases could increase and it doesn't consider other health ramifications. But, it is also useful to remember that most of the deaths in the .007 (7 tenths of 1 percent) were probably very sick and older people. If you are heathy and less than 60, death chances are probably extremely small. And let's not forget Florida should have the overall worst stats of anybody (except CA) because they have the high risk population.
