Yeah - that's what I was thinking...would rather play in UK/Ireland before Oregon, but will keep it on the list nonetheless.

Will likely have to stick with local courses this year - quaran-TEE-ing, if you will; but now that both my daughters are off to college I'm looking to add some more trips in the coming years.

Anyone here golfed Hawaii? I haven't but am in the early phases of planning a vacation so would be good to get some input on potential courses

Have really enjoyed reading this thread lately for a change up. Assuming there will be no DawgNation golf tourney, but if anyone wants to try to play sometime around ATL shoot me a message. Was playing around an 8 before my daughter was born 6 months ago— guessing that’s now gone up lol, but looking to get back out there.

Favorite Courses I’ve played in GA:

    Ocean Forest

    Waterfall Club

Hard to find a bad course on Maui. The only two I've played were Kapalua (Plantation) & Makena. Both were awesome. If I went back I would want to play Wailea.

Hawaii has some amazing courses although some have closed in the golf downturn. I played two on Maui and can recommend Makena North (before were two courses, but I think it’s combined now to one). The 3 courses at Kapalua are famous but expensive. For a different and cheaper experience head up the volcano to Pukalani and enjoy dinner afterwards at Kula Lodge. I hope these are still open as it’s been 2006 since I was there.

Anyone catch the end of the PGA Championship this evening? Happy for Morikawa, but bummed Koepka lost his way a bit today. Great afternoon with so many guys still in contention heading to the back 9.

They mentioned it on the broadcast a couple times this weekend but I wonder how the younger players would have performed if the typical galleries were there today throwing their support behind some of the more established players (Dustin Johnson, Koepka, etc).

Not taking anything away from some of the younger players at all - just curious how much of a factor it may have been...same reason I think we could see more road upsets in CFB this Fall with the typical home field advantage not as big an advantage as usual due to COVID-related capacity limits.

On a good Dawg note, 8 former Dawgs (not counting Reed) entered the tournament and all 8 made the cut.

Congrats to Morikawa. Heckuva round. Great fun to watch.

His chip on 14, the drive on 16...he went out and took it. Awesome win.

Fun fact I saw on Twitter this evening: Morikawa has as many major wins as missed cuts for his career (1)

Question for the group: does anyone have any experience with the Arccos system?

Have watched some Youtube videos and it looks intriguing but wondering if anyone has actually tried it out?

It's a monthly subscription-based offering but they're running a promotion where the grip sensors are free of charge for select Ping club models (which I fortunately would qualify for).

Note to Mods: I'm not promoting this company/products/services - just referencing for those who are not familiar with the solution I'm referencing.
