Based upon the latest death rate numbers released by the CDC for Covid, it is now my opinion that the reaction to this virus has been COMPLETELY blown out of proportion. Approximately 9,500 deaths from the virus when no other health issues were present in the host victim is less than the flu! 80% of those were people over the age of 80!

DAWG 365, Your claim of only 9,500 deaths solely from covid is as willfully uninformed as it gets and comes from a Qanon twitter post! "Twitter has since removed the original tweet, which came from an account dedicated to the pro-Trump conspiracy theory QAnon." Nobody wants to live through a pandemic, but combing through Qanon-sourcing for your public health information for a mic-drop-on-your-own-foot moment is one of the reasons why we are worst amongst first world countries in combating this virus.

Realize that if you look at flu deaths they are counted precisely the same way and that no one EVER dies "solely" from flu, they die from the pneumonia or cardiomyopathy that the stress of flu does to the body. One can look at our nations' over 200,000 excess deaths in the last 6 months and know this as well.

Any "championship" this season is meaningless. Heck, any game is meaningless. Whichever team happens to have their key players uninfected that week will win. The only player who matters is Mr. Covid.
