I was considering building / having a web site built for personal use.
Are there any forum members proficient in this ?

HS sports based. Looking to help get our kids some looks
That's a great thing to do for these kids.
If you're looking for a cheaper solution than say Hudl and a Web Designer creating a brand new website with say WordPress, then I'd go the route of getting a drag & drop type website builder anyone can use (Wix, Weebly and Sqaurespace are all options, Wix seems to be the most popular and well liked. I haven't used Wix or Weebly in years, and have never used Squarespace). All of these have hundreds of templates to choose for your website and from there you can customize to your liking.
I'd also go with Vimeo for your video hosting, should be able to embed the Vimeo code on your website so that videos are on your site. You can get Vimeo for as low as $7/mo. versus $900/year for Hudl. Unless you feel the cost of Hudl is worth it your kids.
All of the above is based on keeping the cost down and getting what you need done. Also, keep me posted on what you decide and I'm happy to help out. Cheers
