WATCH: 5-star UGA commit Brock Vandagriff fires up stout weight room lift
You will have a hard time believing that a high school QB can power clean 300-plus pounds in the weight room as a senior. 5-star Georgia QB commitment Brock Vandagriff certainly can.

Cant wait to see what he's got. Could be a year one starter?
Fromm did. Granted it was because of an injurie. But Smart still started him.
I'm not really worried about his physical ability...that is beyond question. My concern is the situation that he is entering into. He is expected to be #1 QB from day 1. Does he have the maturity to handle this. There will be ups and downs and set backs along the way. My hope is that he has the leadership skills along with his physical skills.
Ha! I could do that too! Those weights are filled with air, right???
"Brock Vandagriff has thrown for 2195 yards, 26 touchdowns and four interceptions so far as a senior. He has another 346 yards and 10 TDs with his legs, too." J. Sentell. Excellent potential! SEC is a tough conference..but I believe he will live up to his credentials. He will be close to a starter in 2021. Needs to mature some. Learn the playbook. Super recruiter. Been a Brock fan since day one.
Something to mull over that many of you might not know. Future starter for BAMA Bryce Young played at the same high school in California as JT Daniels, Mater Dei. They have had one of the top programs in HS the past several years. Everyone is high on BY and rightfully so, he looks to be like another Tua. However, JT put up better numbers while he was there than Bryce. JT threw as many TD's (152)in 3 years(Fr-JR) as Bryce did in 4 years with Mater Dei. JT finished HS a year early and started at USC when other HS QB's were padding their senior numbers. JT actually ran better as a JR QB than Bryce did as a senior. He avg. 8.9 yards a carry. Twice as much as Bryce, in roughly the same amount of carries.
JT played against stiffer competition than Brock. Not trying to take anything away from the kid. But as others have mentioned Brock is playing against slow footed white kids. He's a big kid and that make him hard to tackle against the smaller kids, but he's not fleet footed. Think Jake Fromm speed.
I for one think that for some reason JT may fall through the cracks at UGA and we'll be regretting it.
He has, if the highlight film is remotely documentary, skills and talent which translate well to the college game.
Very quick and accurate decision making and release of accurate passes to all parts of the field. Passes which have zip but are also easily caught. He's a very good runner. Pretty fast and very quick.
It sounds like he's been raised well, too.
If I were Kirby & Company I'd be thinking of how I could start this freshman. Unless I'm wrong he looks to be a major talent, the kind of quarterback who should take you straight to the top.
Go, Dawgs!
Comparing five stars at the same juncture of their careers, Brock seems to be much more technically sound with his throws than Eason. Eason had a gun but lacked accuracy because he seemed to make a lot of back foot throws even with a clean pocket. I didn’t see that with Brock.
We better be praying there’s a COVID vaccine soon! Hints that the President-elect will shut down the country will almost certainly cost college football its winter drills and spring practice and jeopardize Brocks development for the fall the same way it has hurt UGA’s young QBs this year.
The way things are going I don't think we are not going to have to wait for an end to college football......every week more and more games are being cancelled....all of this makes me wonder how many people have caught the Corona virus by going to a game......how many have died?
Well scientifically speaking your chance of dying from Covid is relatively miniscule, but of course it happens. Nothing is risk free. Heard of people getting it who stay shut up in their houses and never go anywhere. Lock downs prolong the inevitable. Then you have those who don't want a vaccine because it means Trump will have done what he said he would. Even the vaccine won't be without risk of adverse affects. Life goes on.
