This flag was given to me by my youngest brother. Flown on four combat missions with the First Air Cav in Afghanistan. Signed by all four crews and is very dear to me. We at home have the luxury of family, friends, and football this holiday season. Just please say a prayer or give a toast to the military members and their families that are not as lucky as we are.

I know how you feel. The only place both of my boys have missed is Somila since the oldest was in Desert Storm.
I got my hands on the internet a couple times when I was in Afghanistan. The first time I watched the game on espn gamecast... waiting on those lines to move were the longest seconds of my life. The other time my wife realllyyyy wanted to Skype with me. I made her point the camera to the game on the tv lmao
My first 6 month in Iraq we didn't have internet. Fortunately I had a SAT phone for my guys to use .... 10 minutes a week for each guy ...
Thoughts and prayers for compatriots still engaged.....
dawgfan1961msh: thank you for bringing this up. We all should give Thanks and prayers for our troops. I had 2 birthdays and 1 Christmas in Vietnam and understand your sentiment. In my picture I’m the one in the middle clowning around.
Here's to all who have served, including my son, who has had deployments to Afghanistan and Niger.
Forgot to mention that he is a 2006 UGA grad.
Thoughts and prayers are good.
Donations to worthy charities and serving those who served us should also be considered in the spirit of giving this season.
